I havent seen any returns on them, so it seems like a good buy.
Imagine what that would look like with some parrothead decorations!![]()

They will hit clearance towards mid-end of the summer if they arent selling...which it doesnt look like they are, at least at my store. My backroom is filled with them. That whole seasonal section will be changed to "Back To School" very soon, so keep an eye out. When they go on clearance I am buying one too...NorthernConch wrote:any chance on a late season sale of those target tiki bars?

When I went to Sam’s to get my grill canopy I saw the Tiki bar sitting there. I checked it out for a while trying to decide where I would put it, but decided to pass (for now). I would have been none to happy to find a bunch of mold growing on it when I opened the box though considering the price tag.Fins21 wrote:You must be more patient than myself...if I had to go through all that trouble for something that I paid good money for...then I wouldn't be singing its praises, but more cracking on Sam's Club for selling such a thing. Nonetheless, I'm glad your Tiki Bar fiasco worked out for you! PHINS UP!!
On a side note I saw the $299.99 blender on the Margaretville website and had fleeting thoughts of grabbing one, but my stainless steel oyster does a great job making my Margarita's so I decided against that as well.

we ought the Sam's bamboo bar...
absolutely, no mold...
took 2 of us exactly 1 bottle of tequila to put together...
finished the bartop with 10 coats of exterior clear lacquer...
and, it is great...
easy to wipe down...
and impervious to the outside elements...
i know i don't get there often enough...

I really like West Systems Marine Epoxy for stuff like this. It's a bit more expensive, but it is indestructable, and leaves a beautiful finish if done properly. I've restored several antique wooden ski boats, and this stuff is THE stuff to use.piratehead50 wrote: finished the bartop with 10 coats of exterior clear lacquer...

I just got the Target tiki bar a couple of weeks back. *Heavy* sucker. I got it after they dropped the price from $269 to $199. Assembly was fairly easy. The roof top piece was split - bamboo does that. I ordered a replacement from the 866 number, but haven't seen it yet.
I'm already getting some splitting in a couple of the bigger bamboo pieces. Bamboo does this, so I'm not upset, but I'm not sure how many years this is gonna last. (*shrug*) I suppose for two hundred bucks, I'll survive if I have to replace it in a couple of years.
I do intend to weatherproof it somewhat, with a couple of coats of whatever weather sealer looks best. I'll gladly listen to suggestions for a good one.
I'm definitely looking forward to accessorizing, and to partying with it.

Cool, a moldy tiki bar.
You could make "Moldy Tequila Sunrises"
or "Mold-a-ritas"
or "Moldy Marys"
or "Cosmoldpolitans"
or "Moldy Navels"
or "Moldhitos"
or "Mold on the Beach"
or "Penicillin Punch"
or "Singaspore Slings"
or "Penicillin Colada"
I'll pause now.

Or a "Sporedriver"
or "Moldtini"
or "Moldslide"
