Charlotte Parking Lots

I just received confirmation from the General Manager that Verizon will open the lots at 12:00 on June 4. Last time Jimmy played there they kept the lots closed until 5:00 and the resulting 3 mile long traffic jam kept thousands from getting in the show until intermission! Thank you Verizon for showing some good common sense this time and allowing us Parrotheads to maintain the tradition of the best tailgating anywhere!!!

I hope that is the case for your sake...About 6 years ago or so, my buddy and I took the drive down from the Univ. of Scranton (PA) to see Jimmy @ Verizon and let me tell you, ourselves and about 200 or so other people tried to let the good times roll around 11:00 a.m. and we were turned aside. Thankfully, about 20 yards up the road (before the Venue) there was a Movie Theatre parking lot and the owner just happened to be there early that day...He saw what was happening and for $20 per car he allowed everyone into his lot and we began the tailgating festivities.

If you run into the same problem with Verizon, I would try that movie parking lot again...It was an unbelievable time, just a little dangerous around 6:00 p.m. when every druken idiot hops back into their cars to park at the Venue, but I guess you take the good with the bad.

Several folks have also had this timing confirmed, so unless something changes radically in the next few weeks it looks like good!

Can someone help out with a layout of the parking lot? We are coming up from Atlanta and are not familiar with the venue. In Atlanta there is more than one parking lot and just wondering if Charlotte is the same.

These are the main parking lots. It's not like Lakewood where the lots are spread out. There is the movie theater down the street, but it is about a mile walk from there.
