3. Name something important you have lost that you weren't able to get back.
A very distant ex and I put stuff in storage. I didn't know he quit paying the bill. I lost childhood photos, photos of Steven, a ceramic doll my grandmother made, my mother's jewelery, my father's military papers - everything. But then they are just temporal objects and I have the memories.
Temporal or not, that SUCKS.....those kinds of things are precious. I'm sorry that happened....good reason for him to be an EX....
yea it does but once I got rid of the anger and really came to grips with the fact I could have easily lost all that stuff in a fire then I felt better and I've been blessed 10 fold since then.

I have an incredible internal compass and rarely get lost. I do take the interesting route from time to time, but always know that I am heading in the right direction. In 1990 on the day we closed the purchase of the Columbia Mets, Normie and I decided to back road back to Hampton, VA. We were aiming for the Cedar island ferry to Ocracoke and the Outer Banks. We zig-zagged through SC and NC, saw Wilmington (because we were thinking about moving a team there) then got totally lost. Next thing I knew, we were in the middle of Camp LeJeun surronded by a tank batallion. A nice gunnery sgt. pointed us out and we got to Cedar island in time to watch the last ferry of the day sail off into the Pamlico Sound. We made a 5 1/2 hour drive take something like 14 hours
2. How do you usually react when you are lost?
I usually get p*ssed off and blame somebody else
3. Name something important you have lost that you weren't able to get back.
Drawing a blank??????????
4. Name something you have found.
A $20 bill in the mall a while back
5. Name something someone else has found for you.
I wear a 1988 Chattanooga Lookouts Southern League Championship ring every day. About ten years ago, it disappeared. I have no idea where or what happened to it. My daughter was 2 so I figured she had picked it up off a table and threw it out or something. About two years later, I'm home watching a ballgame on TV and the phone rings. A woman asks if I am, Mr. K----. "Yes", "Did you play baseball in Chattanooga?" "No, but I operated the ballclub" Have you lost a ring from there" YES!!!!! "We'll my son found it in the creek behind the junior college" OMG, that was about a mile away from my house. Either: A) I dropped it in the yard and a bird or animal hauled it off (crows like shinny things) or B) I lost it in a bar or bowling or something and since my name was one it somebody thought it was tracable and tossed it in there. Either way, I am never taking it off again
