Even at the 801 club? :o
Well.........

it would be an interesting drink anyhow.

Actually I meant Diva's. Sorry.
Now that is entertaining.
Some of those female impersonators are really good!

We walked past Diva's many times and I wanted to see the "Cher" person...Hubby was too skeered. That sort of thing entertains me and horrifies him!

I thought 801 was the side-show wild place...maybe not...What AM I thinking???? (maybe that's some other numbers)

Mix your own for sunset at Mallory Sq.
The live entertainment is free, the main event is free... get that tin cup and head down to the sea.

You are right, it is right next to Diva's on the corner. But it is a MEN only bar...I never saw a woman in that place.

Yup Tiki, gotta do the tour! The Chart Room is a real hoot!

And yup on Blue Heaven, Louie's, but you need to add in Pepe's and B.O.s for some good food. :D

..here's a tip from us (well, me ) . .

. .do most of your drinking from your own stash in your room . . .I never left our room without a cup in my hand. . just to get me to where we were going to drink . .! !

. .head down Duval and stop at Fat Tuesdays . .get a Dreamsicle (yummmmm) in one of their ( seems like 16oz ) huggy/koosy cups with the lid . .think they are like $9 . .

. .that will take you all the way thru sunset . .plus you get a neat souvenir . . ! ! . .and major buzz. . .! !

. .oh, and take it back , cuz refills are only like 4-5 bucks . .If I remember . . ! !

. . ahhhh . .

. . :D

PARROT HEAD MIKE wrote:I just got back a week or so ago, I don't really remember prices after about 10 drinks or so, but you're on vacation who cares. Really though, I's not as bad as you would think even at places like Louie's Back Yard where I spent many afternoons. Hog's Breats, Captain Tony's Etc. are all normal prices. I think places at Mallory Square during sunset are a bit more 50c - 75c or so but you can take it with you.
Try Kalik Beer when you are down there, I got hooked on it.

Ah yes, the beer of the Bahamas. I have spent many times in little bars in Nassau and Paradise Island with Kalik. Many of my friends don't like it, but I think it is good.

OK for my thoughts.. you can't turn around in Key West and not find a Mojito the ones at the Conch Republic might just be the best on island.
But try the Dark and Stormies at the CR.
and Turtle Krawlls (SP) has pretty cheap, stiff drinks
and the Turtle races are fun too

Fat Tuesdays? there are coupons on the 'net for discounts 8) 8)

I don't remember a lot of prices.. seems I killed a few brain cells.. :D

SORRY, this isn't about booze or music, but I keep forgetting to tell folks...

If you're there long enough, and have a car available, drive off-island
to the Geiger Key marina/RV park outdoor cafe/diner/grill/bar. Great
food in a great setting for a much cheaper price. (It was recommended
by the Sauce Boss himself. About a 10 mile picturesque drive.)

Oh, and do El Siboney for Cuban food.

Schooner's Wharf, for me.....follow the waterfront to the right of Mallory Square...ya can't miss it. Great atmosphere and it's hard to beat for live music. Kalik is my favorite beer....had my first one at Blue Heaven....but be careful. The alcohol content is pretty high, it really is like getting 2 for 1!

....and Des is right....El Siboney is fantastic!

Two weeks ago the special at The Wharf was a bucket of Kaliks for $15. Lets just say there was a lot less Kalik on the island when we were through with our 10 hrs at the Wharf.
