These two stadium shows could knock some of the cities close by off the tour.

the tailgate will be one of the best ever at Gillette. I know Great Woods is tough to beat but for those who don't know the area, Route 1 in Foxboro has numerous "little" lots as well as one huge lot next to the stadium. Hopping around from lot to lot will be awesome. The cops are pretty cool. Be prepared to sit in the worst traffic ever as the closest high way (Rt 495) is a ways away.jbirdbuc wrote:I have seen JB in football stadiums and did not prefer it, but those were even smaller. Wow, Gillette is over 68,000 capacity for football only.
Still would be fun though!!!
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

I live in Newport Beach too! So what date range are we looking at for OC - early April, late April? Possibly two shows again at Irvine?Cousin Baxter wrote:I heard from a pretty good source that the tour will be starting out on the West Coast in the spring and the first stop would be Orange County. Of course as always these are only rumors and not intended in anyway to cause excitement or high hopes. But hey, it makes the work days go by better.
I live down on the Peninsula...you?

hey there guys!
I know... shock! its me! I'm still here and kicking! and am trying to catch up on these posts (hate it when i let too much time go by and then loose days trying to recap everything!!!).
Anyways, I see that Gillette is confirmed for both the 2nd and 8th... which means I cant go to my scifi convention... so bummed. But you all know where my priorities lie! heheh... anyways..
The downfall of Gillette is the traffic but a lot of us will be getting there way early so shouldnt be too bad. What hotels are in that immediate area!? Camping areas!? hmmm... got to start planning NOW!
and hope this doesnt mean he's going to cancel Jones Beach.. that was such a blast!!!

ps - who is going to the new england PH convention!? I'll be there with my juice!

I'm liking the news, but is this a CONFIRMED DATE?????

June 5, 1999 - The Last time before that - The day I got married.
(He also play Thursday June 3 as well - My REHURSAL No JB for me in 1999)![]()
Tis true!
JB has not been playing the Philly/Camden venues on Saturdays as most of us would like.....
I looked through me captain's log and in 8 years, JB has only played 3 Saturday shows in the area.
JB's last SATURDAY show in the area was in Philadelphia, PA on August 27, 2005 at Citizens Bank Park !!!!!!
Thursday - June 3, 1999 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
SATURDAY - June 5, 1999 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Thursday - June 8, 2000 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
SATURDAY - June 10, 2000 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Thursday - September 6, 2001 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Thursday - June 27, 2002 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Tuesday - July 1, 2003 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Tuesday - June 29, 2004 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
Thursday - August 25, 2005 - CBP - Philadelphia, PA
SATURDAY - August 27, 2005 - CBP - Philadelphia, PA
Tuesday - August 1, 2006 - Tweeter Center - Camden, NJ
What keeps this old, salty pirate up at night gazing at the stars on the water is why does JB not give the Philly/Camden area 2 shows any more?![]()
I agree, Buffett should do two shows again. Although the concerts at Citizens Bank Park offered an easier opportunity to get tickets to see him, it was not the same experience (and insanity) as the Tweeter Center in Camden. I know he is getting older but I believe Philly deserves a 2 show performance as much as the other stops on the tour
Maybe it's because in spite of all the work we do, it's the child in us we really value.

If it is mostly stadiums..... the phils are away from Monday 8/13 through Monday 8/20. Be a perfect spot to fit a couple of shows.IrishPirate wrote:Ah hem. . . . Any idea when the lots would open? The Gillette Stadium website says 3 hours before an event which would mean 4:30. That would s***!!! I called the stadium and they were clueless about parking. I suspect that they would make an exception for Buffett but I would like to see something confirmed.drunkpirate66 wrote:the tailgate will be one of the best ever at Gillette. For both concerts, the parking lots will open at 3:30 p.m., stadium gates will open at 6:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m.dewyduster wrote:Any idea when the lots would open?
