not a clue, but if I had to guess, I'd say it looks like JB is continuing to scale back his schedule...

heck, if I were 60 and rich, I suspect I'd play more and work less, even if I loved my job. :D

for that matter, if I were 46 and rich...........

I fear that may be the case. Can't blaim him, but it is certainly sad to see the beginning of the end of a wonderful era.

Give me oysters and beer, every day of the year and I'll feel fine...

If there are no shows in the Southeast, I can blame him... Scaling back is one thing, but when he's playing 3 shows in the Boston area, not coming to where one of his most loyal fan bases resides is just wrong. I guess I'll save my money for what it would cost to see JB and go see Jim Morris 8 times, instead.

Um, if I'm not mistaken, JB just played two shows in Florida.......

although I'd be disappointed, I wouldn't blame JB if he never played a large concert again.... he doesn't *owe* us jack sh*t.....

Or maybe Pittsburgh moved east.

Uh-oh....do we have another "Jimmy OWES US a show" posting?

Last year....Florida (but he played there late in the year)
2005....Alpine (but he played at Wrigley...only 2 hours away)
2004.....Great Woods (but he played Fenway)
Is it South Carolina this year? (???)

We need a separate thread for this so all the whiners can cry on each others' shoulders.

As for the third show, I am quite sure of my geography. While it is not yet announced, I have it on good authority that there will be a third show at Gillette. As of right now about a 75-80% chance last I heard... did you notice the gap in dates between the two shows?

By the way, Florida is not the South. Not many in SC, NC or GA traveled between 7 and 10 hrs to see a show. To those of you that were able to, congrats, that must mean you are better fans. I ask you one question. Where did the nation of Parrot Head Clubs start? That's right, it was founded in Atlanta. That alone to me says that if JB doesn't do any Southeast dates, especially Atlanta, it is a real slap in the face to a loyal fan base.

Blast me all you want. I don't claim to be his biggest fan, have seen the most shows or anything like that. And I know he doesn't owe us anything, yet to ignore the obvious that excluding an entire region from a concert schedule that has included us every year is at best a bad business decision, is being blind.

We're just saying, talk to the people in Washington. (2 shows in last 10 years)
Or Nashville (last visit 2003)
Or Missouri (nothing since 2000)
His last visit to Utah? 1992.
Or Boise (large fan contingent that travels EVERY year because he's never been there)

He can't get everywhere every year. Be thankful for the 25 shows he has played in GA/NC/SC since 2000. Throw in Virginia, you have had 34...

The week between the shows means nothing. There's a week between the 2 Las Vegas shows in October every year. He usually plays California or someplace else out west between the shows, not a 3rd Vegas show.

According to every map I've ever seen it is.

So what you're really upset about is that after getting a show every year you might get passed over this year. Like a lot of the country gets passed over every year.
