By the way, Florida is not the South. Not many in SC, NC or GA traveled between 7 and 10 hrs to see a show.
as far as rumors os shows go, there was a rumor about Atlanta, too. The only shows I'm counting are the ones formally announced. Personally, I'd much rather see a Mohegan Sun or Jones Beach show than a third Gillette show...

Last I checked, Florida is still in the southeast corner of the United States....

Tallahassee is less than an hour from the Georgia border and about 4 hours from Atlanta. A longer hike from SC or NC, yes, but then NC is closer to Nissan than Florida.

JB has a large fan base in many parts of the country. GA/SC/NC has hardly been excluded in the last few years... Just ask the people in Denver, or Nashville, or the Pac Northwest what it's like to get passed over.....

Or Boise (large fan contingent that travels EVERY year because he's never been there)
He hasn't been to Iowa since 1982.

He hasn't been to Evansville since 1975 or 1976. Can't blame him.

I need show in the Southeast (NOT Florida).

It is the Bama Breeze Tour why not Mobile or Birmingham. At least ATL or Nashvegas.

Roll Bama Roll.

West coast swing

Post by KT Lockett »

Has anyone heard about a swing through the west. I know for the past couple years he has been in Phoenix in April then on to So. Cal. Maybe the fall? He's opening a Margaritaville in Phoenix (Glendale) in July. Maybe an indoor July show?

We miss him in CT....and indoor/stadium shows don't count. Yeah, I know the Meadows s*** as do all the drunks who show up for the party and not the show, but there's got to be something....

most of us in CT would rather take the drive up to GW or to Jones Beach instead of go to the meadows..... It's worth the 2 hour drive to see a concert in a decent arena.....

But Mohegan is actually fun show. Yes it's indoors, but with it being a smaller arena, there's really no horrible seat in the place. That's just my opinion. Don't expect Jimmy to go back to the meadows.... Go see him at Mohegan. It's fun!

Oh, don't get me wrong....some of my favorite shows have been at Great Woods, and I was at Jones Beach for the anniversary fireworks display, but it'd be nice to only have to drive 20-30 minutes. (Granted, I'm planning on driving 12+ hours to Cincy, but that's another story) It's just too bad that when they built the meadows they screwed up so completely royally.

The Glendale Margaritaville slot in the Westgate Center sits empty - as of a few days ago. I hope I'm wrong, but I wonder how it could be complete in a hundred and ten days? If I was Jimmy I sure wouldn't want to play Arizona when it's 115 degrees! Unless it was inside!

I think the Rentcheler Field would be a great spot....lots of parking...Plus Springsteen...The Stones played there...and The Police will be playing there....for football it holds about 40,000.....As for the meadows..it's in a bad location...Parking sux..( but again a lot of us will find that out about Gillette)...other than that the sound i think is pretty good!!!

Nothing although the date is still open at the Jones Beach Theater. No one else is playing that night. The closest is Ok Go, Mae, and the Fray on June 27.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Over the past few years he has done the shows in blocks of two weeks... (2-weeks of shows -time off- 2-weeks of shows -time off- etc... )

It looks like this year it is down to a one week block of shows.

April he has a week of shows (3) - time off- June a week of shows (3) -time off- July a week of shows (4) -time off- then 2 shows in September at Gillette Stadium a week apart which most likely means he will add a Mohegan Sun Show in between the Gillette dates. Besides that I bet what you see now is what you get this summer.
