I really don't want to have to walk my camera back to the hotel between the pool parties and the concert. Then go get it before the post-show events. thanks
From what I remember in '04 they do. It'd be a good idea to walk your camera "home" before heading into the show. What a huge pain.
exactly what I was thinking. that and, just think of the amount of partying I'd miss if I take the time to take it back to the room? I'm not staying at the MGM....maybe that's their plan? Get you to stay at their hotel so you can stow your stuff close to the party
Even if you're not staying at the MGM, you can check your camera at their front desk. At least you used to be able to, I left mine there a couple of years ago and picked it up after the show.
What we've found these last few years is that if you really want to get your camera in the show- it's a 60/40- deal. Depends how diligent or sharp your "security" person is. And if they stop you and are hard-asses about it you can check it in right there at the show entry. We've gotten cameras in just about every time....except once. One time I had my metal tequila container in my carryall along with my wifes camera..when the alarm went off I sheepishly showed then the tequila and they all laughed and said "Ahhh, get in there! ". So go figure....see ya there!
I LOVE Vegas!!
right, plastic flask, that's for the tip!!
I don't even plan to take pictures while in the venue, just don't want to miss out on the photo ops I KNOW will be there pre and post.
Long time gauker (well, not really), first time poster. Wife and I will be at the show on the 28th (be in town 26th-30th). We are staying at the Alladin/Planet Hollywood, and my birthday is the 29th.
This trip is also our honeymoon, and was almost our wedding trip (but I wanted to get married in front of my 90 year old grandparents, they can't travel very well).

Thanks guys. I haven't been to Vegas in many, many years (just 4), the wife has never been, and we missed him when he came to our neck of the woods (tickets sold out in about 10 seconds, DAMN YOU TICKETMASTER.COM!!!). We're getting stoked about this trip. Looking forward to meeting some other Parrotheads.

Sounds like it might be best to just do a disposable that you don't mind...well...disposing if necessary.

We're getting excited! Just booked our plane tickets. Not sure what the plan for Friday will be- it was supposed to be our wedding day, so we're definitely doing a nice dinner somewhere.
