How do you prefer listening to recorded music?
I enjoy listening through my earbuds... I just hear so much "more"! Little things I don't pick up listening through speakers, with other noises and whatnot. And the stereo effects of certain instruments or vocals coming in from either the left channel, or the right. It's pretty cool!

I voted speakers but there is a reason for my madness and I do use the others. I spent a bit of $$$$ on home theater system (Integra/Onkyo) and have Cambridge Sound Works speakers with a powered sub, crystal clear and quite loud. But when I run/jog I use headphones that go in the ear for my IPOD and when I work I use the earbuds that came with the IPOD.

Speakers for the most part. Things in/on my ears makes me nuts.

Speakers most of the time, but I'll listen to earbuds when I'm walking or when I don't want to watch whatever is on TV....

I have a set of bose speakers in our kitchen that just fill the entire first floor with sound. Even with my impaired hearing, they still sound wonderful. I'll take them over pretty much anything else.

Yeah! With all the technology that lets them take photos with cellphones and use fibreoptics to see inside blood vessels, surely we could make comfy listening inserts!!!

I just got an I-Pod for my birthday and I hate those things that came with it. What does everybody recommend?

I have a pair of these.
And a pair of these for when I am in the gym or what not with my mp3 player.
And for those of you who talk about finding a pair that do not hurt your ears I highly suggest these.
Those are the SONY MDR-J10

Them right thurr is what I had to get my mom when I got her an mp3 player. I like em because they don't fall out of your ear when your moving around. and you don't even havta put them in your ears. Just put the brace hooked around your ear and let the speakers rest outside of you ear.

I had said the same thing, but my brother told me he hated them at 1st, but after just a couple times, he got used to it. So I gave it a whirl, and sho nuff, they don't bother me any more.

Sennheiser PX100... great sound, and very reasonably priced... I've never had good luck with earbuds... Only problem with the Sennheieser is that they don't block outside sounds, so they aren't real good for use in noisy/crowded areas...
