Vince Melamed is a four-time BMI Millionaire Award, five-time NSAI Award, NAMMIE Writer of the Year nominee, and two-time Music Row Song of the Year recipient. Melamed’s career spans as far back as the 60’s, when he and his group The Mugwumps released 3 singles and appeared on two soundtrack lp’s, for Capitol Records and Mike Curb. Since then, he has had record deals with CBS, Arista and MCA Nashville with Run C&W. As a keyboard player, Vince has toured or recorded with the Eagles, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Dan Fogelberg, Jimmy Buffett, Rosanne Cash, JD Souther, Bobby Womack, Danny O’Keefe, Rita Coolidge, and more. Melamed came to Nashville in 1985 to play in Rosanne Cash’s band and has been a resident ever since. In 1989 he signed with Pat Higdon as a writer and later with Tracy Gershon/High Seas Music/Warner Bros.
