On miracles . . .

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don't even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child -- our own two eyes. All is a miracle.”

MORE! MORE!!

I like the way you think Tiki. This weekends theme conversation is people who "do life" rather than people that "experience life" around the la casa. 8)

I did stop to smell the roses, Iris, Poppies, and others I can't identify yet :D

Okies I can agree with that but I have a slight problem anf that is Life itself is a miracle and the way we can control it and yet have to deal with things about life we have no control over.

Also if one is going to live Life.........then by all means LIVE it. Experience all you can, from scuba diving to skydiving to everything in between. Live it as there us only today, and it is the last day of your life. Suffer what you must, and as you must, and no more than that, enjoy what and all that you can while you can, meet and make new friends every day, and look for the goodness, in the worst of things.

Celebrate Life for what it is and what you have, mourn not what you don't have or dwell on what you have lost. Be thankfull for the time whatever and whoever, you lost was allowed into your life and share it with you.

The real miracles are within yourself and what you can do for others.

Cate...that is an awesome quote. :D You are one very special lady, my friend.

I'll add to that list...a backyard concert last night with strangers that are now new friends, in the middle of an almond orchard with a sky full of stars stretching endlessly above. There is just something about stargazing that is magical..and so often enough we don't get the chance to get to the middle of nowhere to truly appreciate the beauty of a night sky. :D

Walking through life with blinders on, I have never seen a miracle.
But like that ol' plow horse, I know that if I ever need a miracle, all i have to do is ask.

I hope I never have to ask.

See you down the row.

Hello Cate, my dear Nova Scotia friend.
Miracles: I never thought about them much: they happened in the Bible.
Now I believe that they happen to us on a daily basis ... in a small but significant way.
I am happy again. Now that's a miracle ... I never thought that would be a part of my life after losing JP.
Miracles are around us.

Considering the fact that BOTH of my grandfathers had tickets IN HAND to come to the U.S. on the TITANIC in 1912, I have to be the LAST person to say miracles don't happen.

HOWEVER, Cate, that was a very nice and inspiring post. Many thanks for the poignant reminder of how fragile our lives are.
