It is a great plan. The Northeast joins forces with the Frenchie loving Canucks. And the Frenchie hating Western Canuckians join forces with the Frenchie hating Westerners from the US.

Hey... wait a minute....whacha got against the South?

Bloody Mary's, administered in the AM.

OK, I'll bite. What's a 222, except for a bullet that's in the same family as a .223 ... a mite bit drastic, I'd think

Hey... wait a minute....whacha got against the South?

Funny thread. This kinda parallels a thread running in an immigration newsgroup wherein some redneck anti-Hispanic racists were talking about invading Mexico. Then some of the Mexican guys and I sorta hijacked the thread because we were deciding who would want what (they wanted the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and we all decided that if we could get McDonalds to build a branch of Hamburger U in West Texas we could re-educate some of the rednecks. Possibly.)

Anywho, the Mexican guys wanted to make all of the South a prison for our undesireables but I convinced them that North Dakota or West Texas was more suitable.

And we all agreed that the Tampa to Yucatan auto ferry was a must. Subsidize it if needed.

Of course, the funny thing is that NAFTA will indeed ultimately lead to the borders falling between the USA, Mexico and Canada. Maybe not in my lifetime, but eventually.

Any thoughts?

You know, some parts of Mexico have great Chinese food. That's because they took in the Chinese that we surplus when the Transcontinental Railroad was completed.

What's the story on the motorcycle races in Nova Scotia? The one's that are supposed to be a North American equivalent of the Isle of Mann?

Are they on or off?

Are you talking about the ones at Atlantic Motorsport Park, in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia? If so, I raced there a few years back (2000?) and I'll tell you it's nothing like the IoM. Atlantic is a purpose built race course with like 11 turns in a mile and a half. The TT is a race course built on the roads throughout the island, it's LONG and has LOTS of turns. It's simple to learn the lines around a course you can get around in a minute. When it takes 20 minutes or so to get around a course like the TT course, it's damn near impossible, so every lap, you are in survival mode. That's what makes the TT so exciting from a riders standpoint. LOTS of crashes as well, from the spectators standpoint...

You are lucky on a purpose built road course to hold the motorcycle wide open for a few seconds at a time, never really hitting anywhere near the bikes top end, except for the front straights... On the TT course, you have places where for a couple of miles you are WFO, bike screaming, you screaming inside your helmet, with nothing between you and the trees, curbs and bar patrons except for a few small hay bails...

Nothing can be compared to the TT.... I know this from experience....

Oh, that course looks a bit more fun than the little AMP. I am suprised I haven't heard of this, especially with having raced all around the area for years, as well as the IoM TT. What a great course (leave it to the damn canooks to prove me wrong)...
