I think there is a lot of truth to that. Somehow I can see a modification to his touring schedule due to possible future economics, but my suspicion is that he will be on oxygen when he gives his last show.

If you look at the tour dates he is started last nite 6/2 and working until 6/10 and then he basically taking off until 8/1 with only two special dates in between. As he says not a bad summer job. I would be grateful too.

Jimmy CAN'T tour forever.
And WE can't go to his shows forever.
But he's still touring-pick a show and go.
It's been tough not to think about the inevitable these past 2-3 years, and I definately have.
Thank goodness the optomist in me is prevailing right now, and I'm pumped for Alpine, Chicago, and maybe Hawaii, if Jimmy decides to head out there at the end of the tour.
HE'S TOURING-LET'S ENJOY IT-either at a concert or here on Radio Margaritaville.
AND, by the way, I know I said some things (indirectly) to and about Jimmy that weren't exactly congenial, so let me take this opportunity to say
THANK YOU, JIMMY & CORAL REEFERS PAST & PRESENT!
FINS ARE UP,
THE BEER IS COLD,
THE WEATHER IS SOMEWHERE,
SOMEBODY IS BEAUTIFUL,
LET'S GO!

Re: this is the LAST TOUR!!!! ????
For some reason I see Jimmy touring when he is 80+. I saw him in Charlotte and he was having as much fun and looking better than ever!Griz wrote:There's a lot of little signs out there that this could be THE LAST TOUR!!!.JB was telling Katie Couric that he's only doing a two week tour this year.. slowing down.. just some special small shows. His kids are older, he's cut the band down.. and THE KICKER,,, the tour name is THE END OF THE WORLD TOUR.
ANY MORE EVIDENCE OUT THERE?? Hmmmm??? What do you guys think???

to anybody who thinks Jimmy would quit this soon... u've passed crazy and roled into insane.... jimmy will announce his last tour and we will all be there... and knowing jimmy he will make his VERY LAST SHOW a huge full weekend event with low ticket prices (if any) and everyone can come... He loves us all and he would never do anything like quit just like that without fair warning... and ya'll who thinks he would... you have no right to call urself a parrothead!
