I do agree that the "you have no right to call yourself a parrothead" is pretty ignorant

Actually, it said 'urself', which I think is some funky elf-bear hybrid or something....

I'm sorry to inform you, and don't mean it in a demeaning way, but you'll be taken more seriously if you didn't type in "IM" verbiage.

It's you've, not u've. And I don't think anyone here has rolled into insane. ;)

No one here knows exactly what Jimmy will do in his final tour, and whatever happens, it doesn't have anything to do with calling anyone a Parrothead. :)

Either that, or the new album will bomb and he will be hustling to pay his bills. You guys don't remember an early Buffett song called "I Had Money One Time," do you?
What do you mean an early Buffett song? That came out in 83, that's not early, that more then a decade after Jimmy started recording! :o

You and I both know that '83 is ancient history for some folks. Grrrrr ...

I just saw that the Wild Wild West television series was coming out on DVD. Can you believe that it's been 40 frickin' years since that ran?!!? I would have been <cough> about 10 years old when it originally was on the networks

Well, if it's any indication, Club Trini was on TAIT recently and during the interviews they made reference to things coming up during the next couple of tours. So if this is the last tour, either they don't know it or they're being real careful to not let it slip out. I took it as a good sign. :D

first i just have to quote Mr. Buffett himself here: "if we couldn't laugh we would all go insane" i like to think that parrotheads know how to laugh!

next, i do hope that he would indeed announce it and not just leave us all hanging. hopefully that won't be for a very long time. i like to believe he loves his job as much, if not more, as he claims to.

you are so right SML, it has NOTHING to do with calling anyone a parrothead.

Say what you like about Jimmy calling it quits, I don't believe it for one minute. Jimmy would never just up and quit his loyal fans like that. If he did decide to call it quits everyone would know. It would be in every news media and a major farwell tour would result.

Jimmy calling it quits? As he says often live in concert. "But not yet!"

I'm NOT saying he's giving it up entirely.. I bet He does a 2-3 week stay in Vegas with 3 shows a week and you'll never see the full CRB outside of those gigs again.

Just seems like a lot of little hints are out there...
Stir it up buckle boy

I believe it will be the end when he FINALLY tours Australia, Boise and Nashville .... that will be the sign 8)
I hope he decides to tour Australia (particularly the Ryde/Sydney area) sometime between February 20 and June 30 2007, because I'll be there studying at Macquarie University. I'd be quite in a blue if he did it, but chose to tour there right before I get to Ryde (when I'll be in Fiji studying at the University of the South Pacific) or right after I head back to the states.

Also, congratulations on today's World Cup victory. 8)
