No Buffett in Bangalore, India

Post by steelband »

Nothing better than having access to radio margaritaville when you're half-way around the world. no one is looking forward to this Friday's concert more than me, even if it is through the 'net. hope to be back in the states before Tinley, IL starts rocking.

I was in Bangalore last summer for almost two months. Where are you staying? I stayed at the Oberoi however a lot of other associates stayed at the Leela. I actually wouldn't mind going back.. If you want some good american food go to the 100 Foote restuarant on 100 Foote Road. The Sunday brunch at the Leela Hotel is awesome!!! and the Thai food at the Oberoi is very good as well.

And I hope your traveling around 'steelband'. India is a massive country with beautiful and captivating sights. See and do as much as you can, I know I did.

I second that.. getting out of the city and into the country side was amazing! Mysore palace (south of Bangalore by several hours) was fun.. if you go stay to see it lite up at night, it gorgeous.. the temples around there are amazing also! Have you been a Rickshaw yet?

thanks for the posts. Yes, traffic is really bad, and thankfully I have someone to do the driving for me. Staying at the diamond district. it's not bad. Did the Leela brunch first weekend, and will probably return a half-dozen more times. went to the 100 foot one evening, but was three sheets to the wind to remember any of it. I look forward to the travels, including Goa, if it ever stops raining.

Jimmy's only 3 hours away!!! Lucky Atlanta!!
