Capt'n Morgan, you are a hoot :D . I guess the $400 per ticket for the 6th row section 1 I bought off of LA tickets, plus plane flights from Tampa to Boston to catch Jimmy in Uncasville would be a bit steep for the hipster.

But it is a free country right. to each his own.

ps I still have a greatful dead stub from 1979 at UMass that cost me a whopping $9.00 8)

All the Best

Dude,

Congratulations on being superior to those of us who love Jimmy Buffett and are grateful that he's still playing shows. Thanks also for demonstrating your apathetic views about Jimmy on a website where most people are rabid fans.

You are the coolest!

Guess I'm glad that I wont be embarassing myself in front of you on Thursday at Cinci as I'd hate to not be as cool as you...

Oh yeah, you rock! Sorry that you wont be there to get your hippie groove on to the 2 or 3 songs you likely know by heart!

I wish I was as cool as you - a guy who flames in a Buffett fan website about how much cooler and smarter he is than the hundreds of thousands who CAN'T WAIT to see Jimmy!

to each his own.....

if you're gonna slam the guy, learn to spell his name correctly.....

Jimmy could get a whole lot more, as do the Stones and others....

Lawn seats are still reasonable, if not preferable.....

the Buffett crew works their azzes off.....

Sat June 10th, I am having a CIP in MY back yard. We will be eating cheeseburgers, drinking homemade margaritas :D and listening to Jimmy on RM. It's not as good as seeing Jimmy as I have since 1983, but hey, it's still Jimmy on a Saturday night. As Jimmy has said before, " Theres a thin line between Saturday night and sunday morning" To all who are going, Have a great time pace yourselves. Drive safely. I wish that I could afford to see Jimmy. Maybe next year. ( Sounds like a Cub phan)

I was looking at it from my point of view. I was showing a compairison as to what you can do with your hard erned money. I'm going to see GovT Mule in Ashville in July. Tickets were $15. There's a music fest that weekend with a lot of free entertainment. I'm camping that weekend. And also doing some great Mountain Biking. The whole weekend is gonna set me back about $150 a person. Does anyone think that if you just stopped paying top dollar, that the prices may go down. I'm not blaming the whole thing on Jimmy Buffett. God knows I would never spend $450 to see the Stones. Heck,I saw them when they were good for $7.50. I'll still listen to Buffett,I think his music is really good(although a little over produced). But any show that costs over 50 bucks is just sort of out there. I remember being Shocked when my parents payed 30 and 40 bucks to see Elvis and Sinatra in 1980. I guess we are the people our parents warned us about

Yeah, you people are all nuts!!! I agree with hippy mountain biker. Instead of paying that $45.00 for a lawn seat and lining Jimy bufets pockets, I can see Nazareth, Foghat, the big Loverboy reunion and still have money to buy a couple of Schlitz's at the local race track!!!
Now Ive got to go to the salvation army store and find some used birkenstocks.

Sure, once you get the rest of the country on board come back and let us know. Until then, count me as a resounding, no.

If you think ticket prices are too expensive, don't buy the ticket.

I didn't.

It doesn't make you (or me) any less of a fan. Heck, I'd love to drive an SUV, and own a boat, and have my clothes custom-tailored, but I can't afford those either! :)

Simply put, seeing Jimmy has become a luxury I can't justify. But for those of you who can, and are going to Pittsburgh tonight, enjoy the show! I wish I was going to be there, but I'll be listening on RM and partying in my backyard: MY first show of the Party at the End of Our Rope Tour is tonight!

I was bummed that I didn't get tickets to the Charlotte show. So my fiance and I decided to take a short trip to Asheville. The juquzzie(bad spelling) suite we had for the night cost us $139. We drove to the Tsali trails for a day of Mountain Biking. Dinner cost us around $30. All in all with gas and everything, the weekend ended up running about $250. The two live cd's we listened to have been in my collection a couple of years. I've never seen Mr. Buffet but enjoy his music very much. I suppose that because I'd rather spend my money on a weekend with my honey istead of sitting in the rain for $126 doesn't make me a true parrothead.. I come from the old school of concert tickets. I looked at an old stub of Bob Marley that I saw in Detroit and the price was $6.50 for a really good seat. Others tell me that it is inflation and the promoters not the artists set the ticket prices. I read about Mr. Buffet taking many exotic vacations flying in his own planes and such. So I don't think he argues very much with the promoters about ticket prices. I'm sure there are gonna be a lot of people out there who call me an assole. But It's just one person's opinion. I wonder where I can apply be employed by the Buffet crew. Seems like it would be a good paying gig :pirate:
I had no problem with the ticket prices. My problem was getting on ticketmaster one minute after the starting time to get the tickets and still getting the back row (DD) under the roof (at least I thought under the roof). It would still be good seating, but the roof ended several rows forward leaving us out in the rain. Hey, nothing a couple drinks of Jack didn’t fix. Phins up!

I used to go out with a girl who got tickets to Pine Knob to entertain clients. I was her date for a whole summer. Buffett played the Palace that year. I did get to see KISS though and had great seats. For Free. The chick dumped me because she said I was more interested in free Pine Knob tickets. But the thing was, they were not really free because I had to go with her instead of the wild drinking crowd........yee ,Ha!!!!!!!!!!

um..... was there a point to this post?

Don't like the price??? Don't pay it....Don't b**ch about not wanting to pay it.....don't make the people who want to pay it feel bad....and don't come to a Buffett fan site to post bad stuff when you know that most people on here go to his shows....
