It's an oldie, but a goodie, and while it applies at all times, we should all remember to put extra effort into leaving parking lots in as good of shape as possible.

Reading about the broken glass in some of the concert threads, I thought the topic deserved it's own thread.

I've seen some venues that just don't provide enough receptacles for all that's left behind, but there are still steps we can take to avoid complete disaster.

Remember to pack garbage bags, garbage bags, and more garbage bags. If the lot cans fill up, try to place the bags neatly around them. Cans and plastic bottles dispose of more easily, but if it's inevitible that you're bringing glass bottles, please bring their empty cases or boxes to put the empty bottles in a neat and orderly manner. Throwing glass in bags, then carelessly in the lot makes for a hazourdous walk for anyone who blew out a flip flop.

Obviously not everyone in the lots will read this, so try to spread the word to your friendly neighbors! It's a good motto to try to leave things in better shape than when you arrived. Easier said than done when you might be drunk when you're leaving, but if we all at least try, it'll help!! Thanks!!

And take EXTRA garbage bags. a group next to us ask if we had an extra bag, which I did. And they filled it up. There were a few that did bag their trash. BUT there were a lot more that didn't

I've been known to load up my pick up with trash bags following shows and fill up my share of hotel dumpsters after tailgates. It's just good manners people!

On a semi-related side note .... one of my best friends from Las Vegas just took his fiance to her first show outside of Vegas and when I checked in with them following the show, her first comment was about how trashed the lots were at the Irvine show. She had never seen Jimmy outside of the MGM. While she thoroughly enjoyed the true tailgate experience, she was really put off by all the trash.

Let's all make sure that we pick after ourselves kids!

I agree that the garbage situation was awful in Atlanta. We filled up our recepticle and several more bags..... There was maybe one can provided for every 10 parking spaces.

but to add insult to injury...the rains came and bags that werent tied up....or the paper bags and boxes people had lined up .... emptied out.... Or people just got lazy..... I dont know but it was horrible.

I noticed when leaving the venue that people left coolers, chairs, tarps...pretty much everything in a pile where their tailgate was. I cannot imagine why.

I am proud to say that the 5 spaces the Dawgpound occupied was clean..... until the cars leaving started running over the garbage bags....
