No Air Conditioning

Post by AlbatrossFlyer »

for all the complainers of high ticket prices, rain, and no water....

congratulations you just purchased a $350 ticket to see Madonna in the new Gledale arena and according to today's paper you can expect to sweat.

Madonna's contract calls for the minimal use of air conditioning during the show

expect the temperature to reach 90 degrees inside the arena.....

Yep....Aretha Franklin does that too....To protect her voice..

Small....PACKED theatre....she demanded the AC be kept no lower than 85...

Never seen so many menopausal women running out of a concert in my life....!

I can understand Aretha doing it, she can sing. But Madonna? She has no voice to protect.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I stayed....

It was SOOOOO hot!

But to see Aretha do a 20 minute end of "Pink Cadillac/Freeway of Love" was worth all the discomfort!

It was great....

Saw her a year ago in the winter and it was incredibly hot in the venue. Wouldn't think the temperature would be all that much an issue for her as much as a draft would effect the voice.

You have to have the blazing heat when Madonna sings, you couldn't be trapped in two hours of hell with A/C could you?
(I was gonna say hell would be 2 hours of Madonna surrounded by a bunch of sweaty gay men, but I didn't want to offend :pirate: )

I think it has more to do with the fact that air conditioners pull all of the moisture out of the air... I could be mistaken...

When I say David Allen Coe at a little bar here in town it was the same way. NO AC and NO FANS. IT was awful. Great show, but way HOT! They said he demands it that way for his voice.
