After the 2nd one, did they just turn to you and ask if you had something to share with the class, too?
She did ask when I met her if I was.....not that it made a difference to her....but trust me when I tell you that my brother n sister are a hell of alot happier then I am in my marriage....that's why it just irks me....

Not sure if they has been mentioned but the Macy's here in Boston had to remove from their store window a display that had 2 male mannequins (one with a gay pride flag being used as a dress and female breasts) along with a sign showing upcoming gay pride events (it is Gay Pride week here in Boston). It doesn't bother me that this display was up, what bothers me is that they had the male mannequins with female breasts and one was wearing a dress. This to me was put up for nothing more than schock value and somewhat diminishes the real reason it was being displayed. All the talk was about the breasts and a male wearing a dress instead of the actual Gay Pride events. I would probably be somewhat offended if I was a gay male by this display.
by the way Macy's tried to play it off by saying that those were pectorals and not female breasts. I saw the display and those were the pointest pectorals I've ever seen

Most of us don't need a parade or Pride week anymore, thank God. Those events do not reflect every non-straight person's attitudes.

Your absolutley right. Here in Boston the majority of people protesting the gay pride parade are homosexuals. They are not protesting the parade itself but the way some involved in the parade act. I was at the parade back in 2004 and there were men in leather chaps with the ass cheeks cut out making out on floats. I can certainly see why other homosexuals would be bothered by this as it feeds directly into a misconceived stereotype. That was the point I was trying to make about the Macy's window. The purpose of that window should have been to advertise the gay pride events and not draw attention to a male wearing a dress with female breasts... in my opinion it does homosexuals an injustice.tikitatas wrote:RAGTOP wrote:same sex marriage... gay pride...
