Post by 1 CP »

Kinky Friedman, independent candidate for governor of Texas, in a wideranging interview about his candidacy, offered the following thought about Mr. Buffett:

"It's crazy. It sounds stupid, but if I had Jesse Ventura, Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffett in top positions ... the state would run with a lot more honesty, a lot more decency," he said.

I'd second that motion!!! Just imagine!!!

he could still tour, couldnt he?

Jimmy'd go crazy in a 'real job'.... Although it would be neat to see a 'politician' give a speech in flip flops, khaki shorts, and a silk camp shirt....

of course he would, but this wouldnt be a Monday--Friday 9 to 5 job...he'd be more of an advisor, and be around for occasional policy making decisions and public appearances....plenty of time for St Barts etc people who are honest and outspoken are such a rarity in public life, there has to be a way to make it possible...

he'd be a big help in New York State, for that matter...and he has a residence here. Hmmmmmm
