has anyone really paid attention to the lyrics of "Here We Are"
I've decided that it is a really great song. sounds like it could be a theme song for a show about parrotheads and jimmy

If you see the video with the song, you realize it is a tribute to Parrotheads....the whole song is about the parking lot party.

Got this in my email...

If it's not correct...it's close...

Here we are, Here we are, Here we are...

Who would've thought this game, this flame would still
be burning?
Who would've thought that all those blenders'd still
be churning?
Not even we on bended knees could've ever blessed it.
Not even I with my head in the sky would've ever
guessed it, but
Here We Are
For our family re-union costume barbecue
All the black sheep, family outcasts, and a freak or
two

INST.

No hat tricks and the gold bricks still don't have us
down
Still a party for the hardy when we come to town
You're still grinnin' - we're still winnin' - nothin'
left to say
I'm still glidin' as I go flyin' down this endless
way, and
Here We Are
We're the offbeat Uncle Fred's who spill their wine on
you
And the in-your-face Aunt Rachels with an attitude
All the ones who use your bathroom, then eat all your
food
We're the dreamy Dead Heads who just like us and Dave
Matthews

INST.

Here we are
Maybe it's because, in spite of all the work we do,
It's the child in us we really value
Here we are - with our phins up and our pheathers
phlashing
Here we are - with coconut-shell brassieres ...chanting

Here we are - Here we are - Here we are...

Thanks Penny, I was going to say that. Any chance I can get to talk about Here We Are, I take!!

This song rocks!!! it's a TEN, no make that an ELEVEN!!!!

Last week when looking at the songs database I don't believe phjim had listed Here We Are. Maybe he's added it since. Though since the song hasn't been sung at a concert, or released on an album yet, maybe it can't make the list??

I noted that Party at the End of the World was on the list, but it has actually been performed live this year.

Looks like Charlotte also got a taste of this great song. Probably didn't at Atlanta because of the crunched time do to weather.

---

Still can't search for the song by title, and it looks like phjim doesn't have it lonked to lyrics yet. I'll send him a PM, see what happens.

They played it in the rain, b4 the encores (and I was very glad they did)

This song will be BIG---It's an awesome anthem for us PH's!

Also,

There's a cool new feature added to the site--Check out the news tab--There's a lyrics tab, a set list tab, and even has the songs ranked by # of times they've been played in concert during the BN era.

And you can find the Here We Are lyrics here

This song is nothing less than Mr. Buffett's love song to his parrotheads!!!
Very moving. <snuffle snuffle>

I agree it will be a big crowd favorite, destined for every concert, hopefully, many many many of them!!!!
