Tour T's
I'm really kickin' myself for not buying this year's tye-dye tour shirt. Even though I bought 2 others, the more I think about the tye-dye, the more I want it.
Which got me to thinking, the guys at Margaritaville should sell tour shirts and re-issued tour shirts on Margaritaville.com. I myself would buy a ton of them. Some of my favorites have worn out over the years.

I buy all my tour t-shirts on ebay. Sure, I may have to wait a year, but the prices are less than 50%, generally.~ Parrot Bay ~ wrote:I'm really kickin' myself for not buying this year's tye-dye tour shirt. Even though I bought 2 others, the more I think about the tye-dye, the more I want it.

Just bought a Havana Daydreaming tour shirt for $5, in never worn condition.

I also get many many T's from ebay. I was able to get one from the Wrigley concert last year for $25 when they had several different auctions for the same style on ebay, and one of them went for $95. And this was only a month after the show. My $25 shirt was brand new, and I was happy as a clam!ColdWaterConch wrote:I buy all my tour t-shirts on ebay. Funny, I just saw one of those last night at the movie theatre? Was it you?ColdWaterConch wrote:Just bought a Havana Daydreaming tour shirt for $5, in never worn condition.
I love my $40 T-shirt, I'm going to wear it again Friday, thanks for helping me decide that. I saw the few pictures posted after Phoenix and Irvine, and knew when I went to Shoreline I was going to buy that tie-dyed shirt. When I saw the price, I was a bit shocked, but I bought it anyway (and another).
Think about it this was. The lawn ticket I bought was $36.25 plus fees. The shirt was $40, plus the other that was $35. -- I think I've just proven that I'm crazy!!!
But I love that shirt!!

I haven't been to a movie theatre in years...I'm too cheap...LOLredparrot26 wrote:Funny, I just saw one of those last night at the movie theatre? Was it you?ColdWaterConch wrote:Just bought a Havana Daydreaming tour shirt for $5, in never worn condition.

I like the 2006 tie-dye shirt...almost bought it...but, again, being the cheap bastard that I am, could not justify spending $40 for a shirt that I'll get on ebay next year for $20 (particularly when I have a drawer full of Buffett concert shirts already).
And I did not see any bootlegs in the parking lot this year.

There were selling bottleg Tye-Dyes in Atlanta. Not in the parking lot, inside the venue!ColdWaterConch wrote:I haven't been to a movie theatre in years...I'm too cheap...LOLredparrot26 wrote:Funny, I just saw one of those last night at the movie theatre? That's ballsy...of course, nothing better than a bootleg tie-dye in the pouring rain...a big puddle of colored dye....~ Parrot Bay ~ wrote:

Phunny story along this line. We bought the tie dyed shirt at Phoenix and hubby wore it to Irvine. At Irvine, hubby was questioned by staff (Margaritaville?) as to where he bought shirt. When he said Phoenix, staff went back to vehicle laughing. NOT a bootleg

Yes, I bought a bootleg tye dye in the parking lot at Atlanta. Wore it to the concert because it was the only dry shirt I had. Stood in the rain and it got wet and faded. Now I have a pair of matching blue tye dye shorts to go with the shirt.ColdWaterConch wrote:That's ballsy...of course, nothing better than a bootleg tie-dye in the pouring rain...a big puddle of colored dye....~ Parrot Bay ~ wrote:

Still wish I'd bought the tye dye inside
