We were in the back of the pavilion not under roof and thought the sound was just fine. We all stayed put when the rain hit. Jimmy said it was just a passing shower.

As for next year! Count us in! We'll be back to see you sick twisted crazy freaks.

glad it wasn't just me

Thanks for the reassurance. Like I said, I've been going to Star Lake for years, have always had lawn seats and never experienced bad sound like on Tuesday night. I called them to give them feedback, but they don't accept such phone calls, you have to email them. Whatever.

In case anybody else wants to send a message, the email address is - CustomerService@post-gazettepavilion.com

My family has tickets to Petty and CSNY there, they want to be sure these sound problems are fixed by then.

I agree with others who've said the sound wasn't up to par. From the lawn, you couldn't hear any of Jimmy's banter between songs, let alone what he was singing (thank gawd we knew the words to most of the songs!). We've been going to this venue since it opened in the early 90s to see Jimmy, and the sound has always been crystal clear on the lawn. There were 10 people in my group and we all felt the same way . . . also heard several people complaing in the restroom and at the concession stand that they couldnt' hear. It sounded like the pavilion speakers in the front were working, but not the ones at the back of the pavilion roof that pointed out to the lawn. We were very disappointed, especially for the people that were with us who had never seen one of his shows before.

I am so glad to read that so many others had a hard time understanding what Jimmy was saying. I thought it was because I drank too much. I remember everything about the show except parts of the show it self. I couldn't seperate what Jimmy was saying & singing from the crowd noise and it frustrated me and I started complaining out loud and made an a$$ of myself. At one point I sat on the ground and stuck my fingers in my ears. I'm sure alot of it was the condition I was in but I'm glad others noticed it too, I don't feel quit so bad about myself now. The other stuff I did like walking up to people and putting my arm around them and asking them to be my new friend was obnoxious but friendly and harmless. That was after we moved closer and I could hear and got happy again. I was an a$$ when I couldn't hear and I hope I didn't put a damper on any others time.

We were dead center at the front of the lawn and the sound was fine.

after I had my little fit, we moved closer and it got clearer and I got happy again but further back Jimmy's voice mixed in with the crowd noise and I just couldn't seperate the two to understand him, very frustrating
