I am torn as well. I am glad that this POS is gone and cannot plan/carryout any more attacks. But wishing death on someone, and rejoicing when it occurs just runs counter to everything I was taught growing up.

So as I was pondering this today it struck me that this is one of the most fundamental differences between us and them. Us being those who feel even the littlest bit uneasy about gloating over death, and them being those who regularly and wantonly scream for the murder of anyone.

We see that every human life can have some worth, and thus are worthy of defense and justice. They see only some lives as being worthy of protection and the remainder can and must be gotten rid of.

Just my ramblings on a Thursday afternoon of what are the real differences between the two societies.

B/c that is the way politics works. People will see this as progress (as I do, but then again I am Republican). I still wish Bush or anyone for that matter would do something about immigration, but sadly I think that is just a pipe dream, no matter who is in office.

Jumping into the fray~
He got higher grades in Yale than John Kerry. AND Al Gore at Harvard.*
And I think he looks a little like Johnny Carson!
~ jumping back out of the fray!

*Read it today in a Thomas Sowell column, citing a new book for summer reading pleasure: "Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies."

Please note my corrected post. Bush and Kerry went to Yale. Al Gore was in the bottom, not half, not third, not quarter, but the bottom FIFTH of his class at Harvard two years running.

But Yay, I'm glad they got Al Zarkawe what's his name!

i corrected mine as well. dont know how that got past me.

gore may have been in the bottom of his class, it still doesnt undermine his intelligence. he was probably like most college kids and wanted to have a good time. gore's IQ is well into the 150's, with clinton's at 172-ish.

nevertheless, ill leave it at that. its not a topic worth argueing

no doubt he was evil incarnate, but as a culture, we're not instinctively taught to celebrate death. we avoid it all costs.

A high IQ does not make one smart. Intelligent yes ,but can they apply it? Al Gore flunked iout of a divinity college.

Say what you will but any one that completes Yale and Harvard cannot be totally dumb.

I haven't heard of anything saying GW Bush was picked above anyone else to attend any school above any other applicant. I know people that believe in affirmitive action will disqualify people that have the grades will let someone take their place that doesen't.

Rather than let this thread turn into a PRESIDENT BUSH bashing thread...It is important to remember the victory over the bad guys that was achieved today/ this morning (our time)

Sure we have our own problems here in America. Every country does. WHAT WE MUST REMEMBER is that all of us have a common enemy that has no hesitation to kill or to destroy anyone of us , no matter what we believe. Get side tracked from that and you leave an opening that can be exploited.

One must remember these terrorists offer no safe haven to anyone.... They don't care who they kill or who they kidnap or behead.

How many people feel bad about thier victims or those who they beheaded?

Are you more concerned with what SOME of our troops MIGHT HAVE DONE......or the attrocities commited by the terrorists?

Your choice on whose side you pick to support. A divided opposition is easier to fight and to defeat....

I am glad the son of fornicating pigs is gone. He is one less threat to our troops and to innocent civilians. Certainly he has killed more innocent civilians with his plans and what not, than our troops have.

GO ALL THE WAY, USA AND COALITION FORCES!!! MAY YOU BE ALLOWED TO DO YOUR JOB AND COMPLETE YOUR JOB AND DO IT WELL AND DO IT RIGHT!
