The "Plant-it Earth"
I heard it right away back in the 1970s, and it used to bother me. Now, it's an endearing part of the original. Anyone else ever noticed it?

Okay, I guess I'm the only one that ever noticed. No biggy...
It's in Volcano...
I just heard it again on my CD, coming back from getting 'keet from soccer camp, and pointed it out to him. That's the way I know immediately if the version I hear is original or live.
In the line, "No time to count what I'm worth; I just left the planet Earth," Jimmy mispronounces planet with an extra T in there. In all the live versions of the song, he gets it right. I always wondered if it bothered him that he left it in that way in the original Volcano!

You're kidding, right? I know it says planet!phjrsaunt wrote:ACTUALLY, I just checked the new song lyric data base on here, and it says "PLANET" there....
I'm talking about an oopsy mispronunciation that not everyone would notice.
You gotta LISTEN to him singing it.

Yes...I thought PLANTED also. That would make more sense that plant-it.
