Even the experts arent sure it will make tropical depression status yet.
:-?
THAT'S exactly what the weather dispatch said...no more no less...other than could cause lots of rainfall whether it makes tropical depression status or not...Tammy dumped over a ft.of rain here in Southeast Georgia last year...

which most of Florida and Georgia desperately needs...rain!

I'm by no means an alarmist..I was raised in tornado alley.

Nine days into Hurricane Season and already a possible Tropical Depression, not sure of the stats...but isn't that just a tad ..early? Indicator of an active season, as they've predicted?

At least there is a few days warning for a hurricane, unlike a tornado...

Do you mean like Cecil Field in Jax??
It was closed down and the Navy considered reopening it and would have employed many many many people.... yet the bozos that have moved down after the base closed fought it tooth and nail and convinced the Mayor of Jax to so as well.

I live on a river with a high bluff, and if I flood out here the majority of the area is going to be on scuba gear. Yet they tell me I live on a flood plain and WON'T consider the ammount of water it would take to flood here.

No offense to y'all staring this thing down, but I *REALLY* hope the storms stay the hell away from the USVI this year...at least until the end of July when I hopefully will be done here and back home in WI.

I know some of you are concerned with this potential storm, I have good news for you, since 1900 only 5 letter A storms were severe enough to make the history charts and one of them was Andrew which didn't form til August. The odds are not favorable for destructive June storms. 8)

If there is one thing more certain than death and taxes...it's the unpredictability of weather...

One thing for sure...............Fla and Ga, NEED the rain....ESPECIALLY central and South Fla.

I know we need rain here in Georgia.

As storms go this one is not severe and will provide aome much needed rain. 35 MPH winds are not devastating.....or really very damaging. We often get higher winds dueing thunderboomers. The gusts can be much higher, but all in all, I would not expect this to be more than causing a lot of much needed wet, and perhaps some minor power outages, maybe ruining some people's vacation.

Hope it continues on current projected path...and Florida and Georgia gets much, much needed rainfall..

Although....it might keep us out of the pool...we need rain, badly...

That's the one thing I miss when we lived in Camden County...our well water.
Now that we are in the "city" I refuse to pay for "too much water of the lawn" as the water bill charges the same amount for the sewer...even if it is going to your grass.
