Recent highlight was a 30gb? video Ipod when they were brand spanking new...
Many weekends, dinners, lobstergrams, t-shirts, tickets for asst events, gift baskets..
Oh, and my wedding in 1991, complete with rings, dress, tuxes, flowers, cakes, limo, celebrities, etc, all broadcast live over a #1 morning show on Chicago's airwaves!

Wow, JoAnn! A whole wedding?!? THAT was an expensive prize!
It was pretty cool, and memorable for many! It makes for a pretty interesting story!
I'm pushing for a 15th anniversary show come September, since the DJ (Jonathon Brandmeier) is back on the station (The Loop).

Tiki could very well hijack this entire thread. She is the (sorry Penny) QUEEN, when it comes to radio contests. Jo, send me a lobstergram would you please

In 1973 I won a record (a vinyl recording medium) - a copy of Canadian commentator Gordon Sinclair's "The Americans".
The radio station played the recording (a very pro-America editorial) and simply asked who the author/speaker was. Apparently I was the only one awake at 3AM that knew the answer. The name had stuck with me because it was also the name of my high school biology teacher.

I won a signed copy of Jimmy Buffett's, A Pirate Looks at 50 (Hardback) when it first came out...
I won a Aerosmith Concert package to their Permanent Vacation Tour - Backstage Passes, Meet & Greet, a bunch of CD's at the local record store, a Limo ride to the show for me & my date, etc...
I also won some other stuff (CD's), nothing spectacular.
A friend of mine won a Corvette.

A 45 of
Convention 72 from WLS for being the correct caller.
Several passes to the Lyric Theater in Monticello from WVLJ for answering trivia questions.
What President was nicknamed "Napoleon of the Stump?"
What is Chef Boy-ar-dee's first name?
... and several more that I can't remember now.
$25 from KELI in Tulsa for picking the winner and point spread for the high school "game of the week." (I was new in town and had never seen Edison or East Central play.)
Tickets to see ZZ Top (Steve Martin was the opening act), .38 Special (the lead singer got arrested) and Huey Lewis (first outdoor concert in Tulsa after a seven-year ban on outdoor shows).
A raincoat with the logo from
Lethal Weapon 2 and passes to the first showing in Tulsa, some T-shirts, CD's and movie passes.
I haven't won anything lately. I wonder if that has anything to do with me listening to CDs instead of the radio when I'm driving?

In 1981 I won tickets to a Hawaii Islanders baseball game. (Honolulu used to have a minor league franchise-the team has since relocated to Colorado Springs.
In 1983 I won two tickets to see the Beach Boys in concert at the N.B.C. arena in Honolulu. (It was the only time I was able to see all SIX Beach Boys on stage together).

Back when I was in high school, our local college radio station used to have a 2 hour 'movie and tv theme' show. If you were the first one to call in and could recite the entire Monty Python's Spam skit in character, you won a tour of the campus, radio station, and got to co-host the show (and got a t-shirt, mug, etc.).
I won
and that's all I've ever won off the radio
