USS LIBERTY

Post by a1aara »

June 8th has passed, but Americans should take time to remember the 34 American soldiers that were killed abourd the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967. Hundreds were injured. Remember the USS Liberty.

What a bad day in the Med.

There's a reason not many people remember much about this.

It makes folks uncomfortable because bad decisions in the chain of command put the USS Liberty in the wrong place at the wrong time, and of course the folks who shot it up were our close allies the Israelis.

The survivors have had a difficult time these last four decades getting satisfaction from their own government for these reasons.
