i agree with ya'll too...we all have DIFFERENT musical taste.....and thats what makes us and ( music) so great...different things appeal to different people.

That review was horrible. If someone has opinions I dont agree with I can take it if they have legit reason to back it up but this guy had none. If you consider yourself a critic you have to have a open mind. That guy had a agenda from the start and his review was filled with lots of holes. Chesney's only memorable song was Tractor and Dierks had a ton. Yeah 4 start #1 cd's had no memorable songs on them. This guy lost all crediblity when he said Dierks sounded like Bob Seger!!!! Not even close if he was playing in Wrigley Field!!!!!!!

Actually Kenny has credits on many of his songs. And I'm reading from liner notes on his "WHEN THE SUN GOES DOWN" cd where he is covering a song by Josh Leo (one of Jimmy's old guitar players) and he says:

"This song puts me back in that convertible listening to HE WENT TO PARIS over and over again on my way to the southern most point in America".

Kinda sounds like he is giving JB some credit.

As someone else said earlier, I like anyone who has some saltwater running through his veins and out into his music, even if someone else started the flow of saltwater.

I play guitar, write a little bit and love to play Buffett music KC music as well as other music. Wish I could make millions out of it, but first and foremost I love playing anything that I can put a Beach/Island twist on. Cudos to all those who love the wind and the waves flowing and blowing through their music.

Play on JB, KC, Scott Kirby, etc., etc., etc.

So now that Jimmy has put out two ( if Take The Weather turns out to be country again ) CDs, does that mean now that he is copying Chesney ?

I gotta say this "fued" is kinda childish

As is the calling Chesney short, gay or bald........I mean aren't we all out of junior high ??

Actually Jimmy is about the same height too, maybe 5' 6" tops which I find ironic when people down Kenny for that.
