Only had one girl so I can't fairly comment from the mom perspective. As a teacher/educator for 30 years however, I would say I have had more parents see me about educational problems with boys and more social/emotional stuff with girls. Those gender lines have not blurred much even with the passage of time.

I think it is more of a younger brother syndrome. Toby has always been the "easy one" for us, then Cameron came along and likes to abuse everything, cats, dogs, adults, his older brother, walls, floors, tables, that keet is tough on everything including himself, he falls ALL the time runs into walls, down the stairs, hits things on his bike, etc.

But then again he is more of a PH than his older brother!

Not sure since I only have a boy but I imagine boys are easier as teenagers simply because if I had a girl I'd probably have to kill some young punk.
However if your son brings a girl home you just high five him and ask "did ya hit it yet?"

I have two boys (4&2) and I have been at the end of my rope the past couple of days. :( So, I think they are more difficult now than girls, and will be easier as they get older.

Mal, I totally think it depends on the kid. Jim is laid back, easy going and rarely raises his voice. He's my gentle giant. He's 6'1+ and weighed in at 242 for football this month. He only gets upset when someone is treated unfairly, someone hurts me or Mollie or someone is ugly to Savannah Jane (his beagle). He will be 16 in September. Des ALWAYS told me I was lucky and he was WAY too good!!! Lightening NEVER strikes twice...

Ms. Mollie...well, she was 5 pounds at birth, where she was told by the world she was a princess. Now, she believed it and you BETTER be snappy with her chocolate milk, she will not drink white. The only veggies she eats, besides salads are spinach and broccoli and if Daddy said it, it's written in stone. Do not attempt to say different. She just turned 7.
These children are raised by the same parents and have the same gene pool. They are not even from the same PLANET much less alike in any other way...excpet that DNA thing... I love them both more than anything but boy...they are different and he has been my easy baby!
