OD TAPO IMI
This band played just inside the main gate at Alpine right before the Jimmy Buffett concert, and to say they're awesome would be THE understatement of the year.
They call themselves "OD TAPO IMI."
(Oil drums that are pounded out into musical instruments).
I had just entered the main gate enroute to meet some friends who'd already gone inside, and when I heard this band playing, I said "to hell with the friends-I'm staying here and listening to these guys & gals."
They're out of the Chicago area-check them out, listen to some of their song samples, and, if your schedule permits, go to one of their preformances. I PROMISE you won't be sorry.

Anything I can do for any of you lovely TEXAS ladies rocks MY world.East Texas Parrothead wrote:I just ordered all 4 CD's for my new iPod.
Can't wait.
Thanks for the tip, buddy. You rock my world.
I think the best way I can describe this band is they DEFY description.
Try imagining the music of Jimmy Buffett, The Drifters, The Tams, Bob Marley, and Herb Alpert combined into one.
These people just blew me away, and I waited until they were done playing and thanked each and every one of them. (All 11 of them).
and if you've never seen me dancing to "Zorba the Greek" after about 8 Coronas, you don't know what you've missed
