"Cairo"

Post by trojan_sixtyone »

Is there a copy of a Jimmy's cover of "Cairo" still on the net? I had it downloaded at one point and really liked it, but now I can't find the stupid thing. I believe it might be a Freddy and the Fishsticks special, but I'm not sure.

Anyone else even know what I'm talking about or have I completely lost it this time? (I have mono right now so maybe the fever's just caused me to lose grips with reality)

I think it's on the Club Trini live CD from Margaritaville New Orleans. Jimmy and Nadirah on vocals, right?
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Right. But I know I downloaded it somewhere off the net, since I've never been able to locate that album.

They sell it at amazon and the margaritaville website... I believe that one's still in print, unlike the "late night gumbo" one...

And the "Late Night Gumbo" one is one I have. Not only do I have it, but I got it for free because my dad worked at a radio station and they liquidated a lot of their inventory, including a lone copy of "Late Night Gumbo". Go figure!

FEVER
Peggy Lee, Annie Ross
Never know how much I love you
Never know how much I care,
When you put your arms around me
I get a fever that's so hard to bear

You give me fever, when you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight.
Fever, in the morning,
Fever all though the night.

Sun lights up the daytime,
Moon lights up the night
And I light up when you call my name
And Oooh I'm gonna treat you right

You give me fever
When you kiss me
Fever when you hold me tight
Fever, in the morning
Fever all through the night.
