Yep....we had a timeshare on that houseboat and went one week in May and one week in Sept.....I miss it, too! Definitely an amazing place!
Maybe the left coast PH's should plan a houseboat trip????

1. Do you enjoy camping? Or, if you have never been camping, why not?
Yes I do, although I do not do it nearly enough
2. Do you/would you prefer to camp in a tent or in a camper/rv and why?
Tent because in an RV is cheating
3. Do you prefer "roughing it" when camping or making it more of a "home away from home?"
closer to roughing than making it a home away from home
4. What is your favorite part about camping?
sitting around the campire playin' guitar and singin', drinkin' beer, roastin' marshmallows and shootin the sh*t
5. Any fun stories related to a camping trip?
I once got redbugs (aka chiggers) on the nards

You've got a 'unique' view of "fun"

1. Do you enjoy camping? Or, if you have never been camping, why not?
I enjoy getting out and doing the outdoor thing every once in a while
2. Do you/would you prefer to camp in a tent or in a camper/rv and why?
As an undergrad, we had to camp tent all the time (wildlife biology major). I'm at the point now where i like to have a hot shower and nice soft bed to sleep in.
3. Do you prefer "roughing it" when camping or making it more of a "home away from home?"
in between if that makes sense
4. What is your favorite part about camping?
friends, chillin, the stars, the wildlife...
5. Any fun stories related to a camping trip?
friend of mine was wasted and fell out of a tree into a cactus.. spent the evening pulling burrs out of his butt...
i worked at a camp in college - TOO many stories to tell there. but i did learn how to act sober in front of parents there...

1. Do you enjoy camping? Or, if you have never been camping, why not?
YES!!!
2. Do you/would you prefer to camp in a tent or in a camper/rv and why?
Tent. RV's are for wussies.
3. Do you prefer "roughing it" when camping or making it more of a "home away from home?"
Depends on what you consider "roughing it." I'm not bringing a tv or many electronics (outside of a cell phone) with me, but I'm not going without food and toiletries.
4. What is your favorite part about camping?
Campfire!!!
5. Any fun stories related to a camping trip?
Many many many, good and bad. Like the time I ran into a tree head on playing football once. Then there was the time we had fireworks shot at my camp.
There are more and I'm sure I'll edit to this post to include.[/quote]

1. Do you enjoy camping? Or, if you have never been camping, why not?
Yes, but I don't go nearly as much as I'd like. W*#k tends to get in the way.
2. Do you/would you prefer to camp in a tent or in a camper/rv and why?
Depends. In nice weather I prefer a tent or just plain sleeping outside under the stars. But if the weather is crappy, I'd rather be in a camper. My aunt and uncle have a 29 foot 5th wheel that I call the "condo on wheels"; that thing is bigger than my first apartment.
3. Do you prefer "roughing it" when camping or making it more of a "home away from home?"
Depends on where I am and for how long; but generally I'm not too picky, all I need is a place to have a campfire and a place to sleep.
4. What is your favorite part about camping?
Sittin' around the campfire until way too late drinkin and shootin' the bull with my friends.
5. Any fun stories related to a camping trip?
None that I remember; most of the camping trips I took in my 20's were quite a blur. But I too have never experienced camping nookie.

Hubby and I would most definitely be in!! We were just talking this weekend about how a week on a houseboat on Lake Powell would be amazing. Utah has some incredible scenery, but I've yet to make it to Lake Powell. I have been on a week-long canoe trip down the Green River from Moab to the Colorado confluence though, and THAT was something to see!
