Problems on the Homefront Advice needed

We recently moved into a condo w/pool, it seemed like a good idea at the time being right on the pool. We've since found the condo pres lives above us and all they do is sit on thier deck and yell down or people come over to the pool fence and talk up. It's really annoying to have people looking in our place, we feel we have no privacy to sit on our own deck. Any suggestions here, we are the newcomers and don't want to make waves yet want to be able to enjoy what we've worked for.

Duct tape use # 024. Quieting loud mouth neighbors.
Option #1Apply fully over their mouth and sides of face. Walk away.
Option # 2. Apply as in Option # 1. Quickly remove Duct Tape in one full fast motion. Ask the person if the want another application or will they be quiet. Reapply if neccessary, especially if lips are still on their face.

Don't move into condos. On second thought it might be a little late for that.
How about something along the lines of: "Hey a**hole, if you want to hold court why not do it in a place where it doesn't disturb everyone else."
Or my fav: "Shut the ***** up before I come up there and dismemeber you in front of your family!"
My neighbors adore me by the way.

I think Bubbaphan is on to something. Find something that bothers them. Then DO IT. When they bring up the issue, give them a s#@$-eating grin and tell them you'll stop when they stop.

Get a sprinkler, that will shoot over the fence, and 'unknowingly' turn it on when they happen to be at the fence... A few times and they'll get the gist.
Or hire a really fat stripper to hang out in your back yard.

A taller fence

"good fences make good neighbors" or bury a couple of bear traps

What floor are they on since they are right above you?
Get a waterballoon sling shot and zap them from the pool with it, when they get loud.

I have a neighbour Daniel ...

(a few here know of him) .. who likes to play music so loud it is unbelievable (and seeing I am hearing impaired, its gotta be loud!) ....
I would go in and knock and ask him to turn it down - but alcohol was usually involved, so he just turned it down, but next night it would be up again once they got drinking.
I ended up writing him a nice note, and slipped under the door for him to read when he was sober, stating that I didnt mind the occasional party, however, the constant loud music was "impacting on my quality of living" and that kinda did the trick ......
He only does it now and then, now that he realises it does impact on people - these probably dont realise .....

Play lots of Buffett music.
Put speakers on or by the patio.
When folks try to talk to the upstairs officers, turn up the music.

Do you own a grill?
Sometimes a griller might miss picking up a small piece of meat when they are done grilling. Sometimes onion or pepper slices don't get picked off the grill. Smoke rises and might be considered unpleasant to those located above.
... or so I've heard.

OMG! We have done this!!

But leaving the chicken skin on really does the trick.
How long to they carry on in front of your deck?
