Jones Beach 04

Jimmy was upbeat, good seats in a relatively small venue, great setlist, great fun tailgating, LABOR DAY weekend, as Jimmy said intro-ing SOASOAS, "for all the sailors who sailed into the show, because it is possible."

Sunday at Wrigley--- a favorite performer at a favorite place, with a salute to one of my Chicago favorite singers (Goodman) and with a favorite song (Banana Republics). He was in great spirit, and it was a great show!

I think it was 1996 at Great Woods, there was a small stage that rose on the lawn with two guys shooting T-shirts into the crowd, then it went completely dark for about 20 seconds, when the lights came back on Jimmy was on the that small Lawn stage. He sang 3 or 4 songs acoustic from the lawn then walked back through the crowd onto the big stage and said "That's the opening act" .

Charlotte 3 weeks ago was amazing! We had great seats but the audience reaction and how the band fed off that was unbelieveable....and the band has never sounded better.

The only thing that will top that for me is the day my hubby and I are sitting in a little beachfront bar down island, maybe in St. Barts or Anguilla, and Jimmy happens to wander in holding his guitar......sigh........

Buckeye Lake 94 or 95 was great....the Flying Elvis's flew in before the show. That was a fun place to see Jimmy.

Pittsburgh in 97 (i think) A huge storm rolled in and it just poured. We were sitting up pretty close and still getting wet because the wind was blowing the rain so hard. Jimmy tore up the setlist and played a great show.

I could list a few more im sure but those 2 stick out in my mind.[/i]

Waikiki '05 here!
2nd, Orlando I think '03, but only because Club Trini played the night before and Jimmy came down to my broken legged wife, very cool.

Setlist - Dallas 2006
Venue - For the seats I've had, Vegas
Crowd interaction - Before the show: Dallas 2004/2006 During the show: Apline 2004
Jimmy's mood - Dallas 2004
Jimmy's dialogue - Atlanta 2004
Voice quality - I couldn't say the best, but the "least best" I've been to were either at the very beginning of the tour (Atl 2004, Charlotte 2005) or the very end of the tour (Vegas 2004/2005).

Charlotte 3 weeks ago really was a great show. Even on the lawn in the rain! The tailgating was the best I've been to.

What a topic for a "newbie" to make her first post! I loved the Charlotte concert a few weeks ago! I was with my best friend, who has just recovered from cancer. I can't imagine anywhere better to celebrate than a BUFFETT concert! The fact that BUFFETT was so awesome that night made it stand out even more!

What a topic to make "HIS" first post. I just wanted to nip that in the bud from the beginning. :) I've been to 8 (soon to be 9) concerts and have all of his albums (the ones for sale anyway). I have been to Key West 5 times and got married there. I may be a novice to the message board, but I have done my homework. I am glad to be on BN after following you all for months. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner!!

I'm brand new to the message board, but I've been following all of your discussions for a while now. I figure this is as good a place to have my first post. My favorite concert was Bristow, VA in 2004. The entire package that day was great!
welcome aboard!

feel free to join us daily at the msc

i would have to say my favorite was my first (its always memorable)
houston in like 94 or 95 - it was over memorial day weekend. it was a wild one...

after that - hoot island... :wench:
Yes, welcome to Docktails...and PackPhanGirl!!!

Houston Memorial Day Weekend was 1995, texaggirl. Yep, a very good coupla shows for me then too.

I was up front in the pit and got a guitar pick Jimmy tossed down to us. I remember reaching around on the floor through all the limes and gunk to get it. Seems like Jimmy came out in a Compaq muscle shirt for the encores.

First show was also at Woodland's on the lawn Sept '94 has to be my favorite. Fruitcakes!!! Won't ever forget how special that first time was.

Ditto!!! With my first concert being a close second - one when he was playing small colleges concert halls and Volcano had just been released.
