Pittsburgh in 97 (i think) A huge storm rolled in and it just poured. We were sitting up pretty close and still getting wet because the wind was blowing the rain so hard. Jimmy tore up the setlist and played a great show.

I could list a few more im sure but those 2 stick out in my mind.[/i]
I remember that Pgh show. He did two performances that year. (Those were the days!)

My personal favorite, although not loved by everyone, was the "Don't Stop the Carnival Tour" in Pgh. at Starlake...Kinja!

I CAN'T NAME A FAVORITE BUFFETT SHOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MY first show I was 18 or 19. These hot college guys came wandering thru the crowd singing Wayne's World, and my bro's name is Wayne. And since they were parrotheads the whole gang stayed and danced with us for the whole show. That was my " initiation".

The summer after fruitcakes came out was my second show and we thought Jimmy had LOST his mind going on about junior mints and stuff.( we hadn't heard the sond at the time.)

Those are the closest to favorite shows I can name. I love the fun I have.
I enjoy that the set list changes, but wish he would bring back things like Stump the Band. The best was when he did an acoustic version of Jolly Mon. Ragtop could give better details on when and where.

My first concert was Raleigh, NC 8-22-2000. It was a great concert and the weather was wonderful (low humidity, clear skies). Of course, looking back, I was such an amateur and didn't have a clue what I was in store for. But, I realize I've never seen a concert that included Fingers. Maybe one day soon.

Definitely Wrigley Labor Day 2005.
We flew Air India, (free curry at 35,000 feet), stayed for 48 hours and had just the best time that could be imagined.
Thanks you crazy Chicago PHs!

Funny you asked that based on the 97 Alpine show, as that show is my all time favorite. My friends tease me because I only own one JB concert shirt, and it is that one. I had been into Jimmy for about 7 years at that point and really was getting into the music more than just the party (yes it took me 7 years to get more that 5 JB albums, I like to party) Anyway, the day was a blast, the resort was full and fun, crowd was charged, I had a perfect buzz. The setlist was great and Jimmy and the crowd fed off each other like I havent seen since. Glad that it transferred to radio to hear it.
I'm sure there were better shows and to each their own, but that is my favorite, until I see him play in a small bar in Aruba.

My first show in 79 or 80 (I drink, I forget)

Stage went dark and the theme music from "Jaws" started playing. My buddy yellout WTF Is Going On? and I screamed back, "He's gonna play Fins", just then the spots came up and he seemingly jumped over a bank of speakers and landed with the first note. Incredible. It was moments after this when I attempted a "very high"-five with my buddy, that I clocked my girlfriend in the eye instead. Given how that relationship worked out, that may have been the best part of the show   Shows back then were full band for a set, accustic-alone, then just with Fingers and adding band members one by one and then a full electric set and encore. It seemed like it lasted forever. Awesome.

#2 would be Alpine in '96. Instead of a little stage on the lawn, he opened with just Fingers on a scaffold off the roof. He could not have been more than 10-12 feet away from us. Also right after that, the coldest hardest rain I have ever sat in started and he kept saying "If you are stupid enough to stay, I'm stupid enough to keep playing" Definately one of the longest shows I have ever seen him do.

I'm partial to all the Cincinnati shows because he seems to really bring his A-game there, given the history of the Parrothead in the city. My favorite Cincy show is the 8.21.05 show because 1) it was my first show (FINALLY), 2) the atmosphere was electric and the crowd was bangin', and 3) Jimmy put on a great show. To me, that whole experience embodied why Jimmy is my Beatles, and it'll always hold a special place in my heart.

That was the one with the great fireworks display from the beach at intermission because it was Jimmy & Jane's 25 anniversary.
