Welcome aboard the Parrot Ship Mate!
BEERied Treasure, Pleasure Coasts & Mermaids in the Night

My phirst Buffett album was "You Had To Be There" & "A1A", after hearing it at a phellow Parrothead Party. Well, it's been a "FEEDING FRENZY" ever since. I was hooked like a "Son Of A Son Of A Sailor" out on the sea for adventure, takin' care to look for sharks!
FINZ UP!!!
& Many More Margaritas!

First one I personally owned was Don't stop the carnival. Then I bought SYKBH and then started to get more into his music so I bought BBBB and some live albums (feeding frenzy, Tues/Thurs/Sat, etc). I had listened to music from SYKBH because it was the only buffett CD in the bar juke boxes, so I knew some of his music before I actually purchased any albums.

"School Boy Heart". The next day I went to the store and bought the CD. My girlfriend at the time bought me tickets to the show at Nissan that year. I've been living my life like a song since.
I remember that interview......
Dave just looked over at Jimmy and said...
"Man..you've got the LIFE, don't you?"
Jimmy just smiled...that slow smile ...and said....."Yep"
Loved that interview!
Oh..and "White Sport Coat and a Pink Crustacean" was the first I owned..on vinyl....then had to switch to cassete....now CD's..
and I still have them all...
Including a 45 rpm that was made for a jukebox..."Margaritaville" on one side..."CILCIA" on the other...
Friend of mine here , Jake...was friends with Jimmy down in Key West way back..He gave it to me....still in the MCA paper cover...

My first was the box set, then Before the beach and Fruitcakes when it first came out. My collection then was A1A and Havana Daydreamin. I just completed my collection last year by adding 5-6 more CDs that I did not have. I now have all the released albums on CD. I am on my second Box Set and burned most of the discs to preserve the "originals", but somehow have managed to lose beaches original again. Oh well.

In the summer of '78 I was being "punished" for bad grades in college by having my Dad get me a factory job. It was a little place with 9 others working an assembly line making one use charcoal grills. Since I could speak english and could count, I was at the end of the line. Three rows of fifteen to a box, staple, tape and place on a pallet. 20 boxes to a pallet.
One day I came to work and INS had been by and all of my co-workers were gone. So I would work the conveyor switch and move it a little at a time and do all the stations myself, with the radio blasting away WLUP, The Loop in Chicago.
One day over lunch time, they had a "new release hour" they played Son of a Son, Livingston Saturday Night and Manana from SOASOAS. I bought it that night. By my next paycheck I had all the rest of the previously released albums and have never looked back. Shows started the next summer

First purchase was "Feeding Frenzy"! Had heard some SYKBH on my friends cd player which spawned some interest but after returning from a Carribean cruise I started searching for more of that Island sound. I heard the music on the live recording of F.F and I was HOOKED!
My collection also includes B.B.B.&B., Tu.Th.& Sa., Far Side of The World and License to Chill but whenever I need to get the motor running F.F. is the one I put on!
