A1A Thats where Migration is, right? After all these years and all these albums they kinda run together. Back in mid-late 70,s Progessive country or anything out of Austin was big around here.Jimmy got a lot of airplay on that station. They played Migration quite a bit but never mentioned the title. My sister had a copy of Living and Dying,So I listened to that hoping to find the song I was looking for.Wasn't there.Didnt matter.Something got started thats still going today! My first 8-track---A friend of mine bought a brand new Olds 4-4-2 in 76.Well him, myself, and another friend had to take it on a little road trip to break it in properly.First stop---Hippie Hollow Lake Travis in Austin (C'mon Texas people) The next day--Galveston.I spotted a record store on the street that faces the beach(Broadway?) Anyway we stopped,I came out with A1A on 8-track,We slept on the beach with that tape,a half gallon of tequilla, and a bucket of chicken.
I still prefer the sound of the old ABC Dunhill albums.Hard percussion and lots of crashing cymbals.
Indecision may or may not be my problem

A1A. DJ's on local classic rock station were listing their top 5 albums. This was back in the early-mid 80's. 2 of them had A1A. I liked all their other choices (Led Zep, etc) so gave it a shot. 20 years later...can't tell you the last time I listened to a Zeppelin album straight thru, but JB never leaves the cd palyer in my car.

Songs You Know By Heart.

And a week later the Box Set.

Followed about 12 months later by an order from Amazon of about 12 discs...most of which were classified as 'Imports'. IE: hard to find in Canada, EH!

Box Set in '93. Had to get schooled quick for the show in Buckeye Lake. Shortly thereafter, I snatched up all his albums. You can say that show "moved me".

It was either Living & Dying In 3/4 Time or A1A back in 1974. Bought one and then the other and followed up with A White Sportscoat
& A Pink Crustacean. I was living in SC at the time and I can remember us sitting around pickin' and grinnin' to Pencil Thin Mustache, Brahma Fear (go figure, eh?), Come Monday, and just about all his songs........ All vinyl and still have them (along with some others) even though I don't own a turntable anymore!!!!!!! :D :D
