I tend to think, of all the needy charities out there, that do need funding. and so many in need of immediate funding......I don't think Bill Gates's charity, would require much extra funding for a very long while.

I also question, with so many needy charities out there, go ahead and pick one or more.

He could have helped alot of homeless people out, he could have created businesses and put unemployed people to work, or built shelters, or fed a lot of hungry people right here in America, or paid for rehabilitation of wounded vets, or many numerous other things, such as feeding the starving children of the world, that we hear so much about that can be educated and fed and clothed for so little ammount per day or to helping peoplerebuild or relocate from natural disasters.

Care to say Bill Gates favorite charities need more than any other charity?

How far would thqt money go to giving our troops a REAL "Buffett Fest" ?
A cure for cancer? A cure for AIDS?

Care to tell us that money could not be better spent helping our wounded vets and homeless people or creating jobs for the unemployed?

I would choose to help out at home FIRST!

MY OPINION is it could be better spent here at "home".

No wonder we are failing as a country when people no longer care about our own.... meaning Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.
For $1.5 BILLION a year when we are told we can adopt and feed and clothe and educate a child in Africa. How many children will that take care of?
Meanwhile what about people right here in our country and nation that have to go to sleep hungry at night or veerans that cannot afford wheelchair ramps or having their houses modifird for such use?

So why not help their own country and people first? How many nations are donating to Africa? How much food and money is sent there ever year? How much is donated to needy people right here in America.... pick your cause....from Breast Cancer to the homeless and hungry to our wounded Veterans or HAbitat for Humanity.

So the next time you are seeking funds for your favorite charity and someone says.... "Why don't you go ask Warren Buffett or Bill Gates?" and gives you nothing....don't feel bad or be mad or upset.......after all it is THEIR MONEY and no doubt they have priorities to spend it on , but no doubt some of those people will still share a little.... More than can be said about Warren Buffett or Bill Gates....

The infusion of that money into American charities and helping to employ people right here in America, and make them self sufficent and allow them to contribute to society, would allow them to contribute more in the long run.
