I think this mango might have been overripe based on everyone's description 'cause there wasn't really a seed. What I tried to do was like what Shark On Land described and it was just hard in the middle, but no real seed.
Um, something is really wrong here. There's always a seed. They can't go anywhere. It's more like a pit but it will be there. Maybe you have a mutant mango.

They are somewhat difficult to peel and de-seed, sometimes..

I can't imagine one not having a seed...I stuck one in a flower-pot with really good soil and it sprouted,

made a pretty nice looking plant, kinda like you do avocado. I like mangoes better than avocadoes ..

First of all, you're not even cutting your avacado correctly.

Slice end to end and pull apart.
Using a chopping motion with your knife, hit the seed.
The knife should stick in the seed and you can pull it right out.
Then slice the inside of the avacado and spoon out the slices.

I don't' know where I got this recipe....it may have been here (my apolgoies if it is)....but this stuff is GREAT....we use it on grilled meats are just on chips for something different.

2 mangos
1 large cucumber
3 bell peppers - 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 orange (I sometimes use just the mild orange ones...and not all of it...play with the proportions to you taste!)
1 small can of chopped pineapple
1 medium onion
1 lemon
1 lime
chopped cilantro (I don't like too much of this)
garlic powder, salt, black pepper
optional crushed red pepper

Dice the mangos, cucumber, peppers and onion. Add chopped pineapple.
Squeeze the juice from the lemon and lime. Add pineapple juice from the can. Add chopped cilantro (to taste) Salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.
Mix all ingredients well and chill for at least three hours.

TikiBar, I am very proud of you for coming up with the smaller, "Tiki Bar".
And I must say, when I saw it, I had an "out-loud" laff moment.
Does the fact that I'm drunk diminish the impact of the funnimenscht..
uh...the enjoyment of the whole thing. ? Sorry. Maybe I should try DD somebody, like........RR2 or leaving a message for JasonMason like: I pinch,

I tried making some mango daquiris a couple weeks ago; just fresh mangoes, rum, and ice...didn't quite work, something was still missing, where did I go wrong?
