iced mocha on a summer morning
is a wonderful treat, esp sitting on the deck watching the people getting ready for the beach.
Have a great holiday weekend folks.

Ok, pojo, let's have the proportions you use to make Frozen Chai.pojo wrote:Iced Mocha.... .Um, no!
Parrotheads... you guys HAVE to try Frozen Chai.......... Ice Cream, Chai and Milk all blended together (another use for the blender) That is much better than the iced mocha.
Enjoy your beach day.
Do you use instant chai. How much? Any Ice?
Just had to have an Iced Mocha today after reading this yesterday, and wish for a beachy day. I hear a beach calling...
Any good ICED Mocha recipes?
This is what I use.
Put heaping tablespoon of Ghiradelli Unsweetened Cocoa Powder in mug.
Add 2 packs of splenda.
Brew Espresso and pour about a 3/4 cup in mug to dissolve cocoa.
Fill almost to top with milk about 3/4 cup.
Add ice and stir.
Yummmmmm!

Iced Mocha Cappuccino
1 tablespoon Chocolate syrup
1 cup Hot double espresso or very strong coffee
1/4 cup Half-and-half
4 Ice cubes
Stir the chocolate syrup into the hot coffee until melted. In a
blender, combine the coffee with the half-and-half and the ice cubes.
Blend at high speed for 2 to 3 minutes. Serve immediately in a tall,
cold glass.

I don't like my iced mochas too sweet so the idea of cocoa powder seems really good. I bet I could put just a bit of sugar in it like you do with hot cocoa. Does the cocoa powder disolve well, because when I make cocoa I mix it with a bit of hot milk to get it blended into a paste.
My coffee place also throws some foam on even the iced mochas.

Sounds very yummy for a special treat, but lots of calories.tjtryon wrote:Iced Mocha Cappuccino

ocg, you can dissolve the choco with the hot espresso.
If you want to avoid too much caffeine, you can use decaf and make it really strong. Of course, there's not such thing as caffeine free coffee!!!!
The rum cream sounds good and I have used the Godiva chocolate liquer.
I have also added Bailey's IC.
Good suggestions!

Ask!
Frozen Mocha or Caramel Latte
12 oz cup
1.5 oz of the best espresso on the planet
2.5 oz whole milk or skim
1 scoop of polar powder, adds sweetness and holds everthing together
Guittard or giaradelli chocolate sauce or caramel
the cup full with ice and then a little bit more
Blend at various speads until it is very smooth
whip cream on top
You can make these on the rocks with the same ingredients leaving out the polar powder, use hot espresso and miz the chocolate first.
