I went to Mobile 17, got into the process, and then couldn't wait 35 minutes for the free download, so spent the $5 to get to get express download. Great, now I have the ringtone (which they said would work on my stupid phone... that's been the problem before... my phone! I have an LG phone with Verizon, which wouldn't take downloads from the other sites I tried, aand Verizon has NO Buffett... as I'm sure you all know!!) Anyway, that's background..... now I have the ringtone on my computer, and I have absolutely NO idea how to get it on my phone. Anyone have any ideas??
nelli - does your cell phone have text/email capabilites? If so, you'll have an email address - usually "yourcell#"@"yourprovider.com" that's where you should send the ringtone to then you just download it from the message on your phone.
thanks Renee... I hit the same wall.. :D

I used it to and now I have OPH from Tuesday's, Thursday's and Saturday's as my ringtone. I didn't mind waiting the 45 minutes.

I did 2 of them. Coconut Telegraph and Weather is here, came out pretty good. Said it would be an hour wait, but really was only about 20 minutes or so.

Thanks

I think the 3rd was Come Monday (don't quote me)
The Margaritaville one stinks.
The Come Monday one is pretty good.
CIP apparently does not work with the phone that I have. Must check out the "make your own" as referenced above. Thanks
My wife has the CIP ringtone from Cingular, it sounds pretty good on her phone. She has a Samsung x497. But I like the custom ones better ..

Thank you so much Rene(?)! I am still working on it.... My phone does have text/email capability, and I pay for web service. The problem is, I have not figured out the address to send the tone to. Cripes, I'm not a total electronic dunce and this is about the most frustrating thing I've ever tried to do!! I read the board almost every day, even though I don't post very often, and I have tried about every suggestion for getting Buffett ringtones. This is the closest I have come, and I'm NOT giving up. I WILL figure it out!! I hope.......... Damned Verizon can send me their pitiful ringtones!!!

Hey Rum... you guys are the best!! I now have it on my phone as an attachment to an email. I'm thinking that's not what I want to do. I may have to go to where I bought the phone and ask them to help me figure out how to download it. If Verizon can do it, it should work... right??

On mine, I followed the link in the email and then downloaded the file, I played it and then it asked me if I wanted to save it as a ringtone.

You may want to see if you can play the attachment and then save it.

"Normal" people just get a normal ring tone on my phone. My daughter and 2-3 friends have special ringtones assigned to them.

Thanks for the website! This is my new ringtone:

Squalls out on the gulf stream
Big storm's comin' soon
I passed out in my hammock
And God I slept 'til way past noon
Stood up and tried to focus
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far
I knew I could use a Bloody Mary
So I stumbled next door to the bar
