People are always amazed at the number of purebred animals that end up in shelters and rescues. Anyone who wants a lab or golden should definitely check out the rescues and shelters first.
I work with the Heart of Michigan Animal Rescue and we get lots of wonderful animals of all breeds and mixed breeds that would make someone a wonderful pet.

When we finally have a fence and can get a doggie, you have to explain that to hubby. He keeps saying he wants to get a dog from a breeder and I'm pretty much WTF is up with that?
