i would LOVE this. i think he should do a concert of all the unplayed songs,or at least ones we hardly ever hear. don't get me wrong, i love oph and boat drinks but wdwgdas should be put in the vault along with a few others.
i think bubba has enough fans that he would still sell out the venues with this set list. who knows, maybe there would be an even higher demand for tickets....now that would be scarey.

I think that's a good idea, but I don't think it would ever work. Seems like until Jimmy scales back the band and goes back to mainly acoustic shows, the setlist will stay pretty standard. He still throws some special numbers in from time to time and does a good job of mixing it up each year, but the SYKBH/BEG/Southern Cross stuff is just a staple of Buffett shows now.
It would be nice to hear songs you never hear, though. Songs I think should be in more shows:
-Coast of Marseilles
-Coast of Carolina
-They Don't Dance Like Carmen No More
-Twelve-Volt Man
-Tin Cup Chalice
-Vampies, Mummies, and the Holy Ghost
-Semi-True Stories
-Lage Nom Ai
-Lawyers, Guns, and Money (a Freddy & the Fishsticks special, I know, but it's such a wonderful version the CRB should play it from time to time)
-Cairo (a Club Trini special, I know, but again, a fun song)

O.K. I don't usually agree with everbody but ..... I guess I do in this case.
It would be great if there was a way to devise a system to request at least a few numbers on the setlist. That being said I also understand that Bubba is smart enough to know he can't please everyone all the time.
Ragtop and I have a few songs we don't care to hear; so we use those songs to go to the bathroom or get something to drink.

Can't agree more Gods own-love Jimmy's greatest but there are so many albums missed-wish he would do more private gigs-for $250-instead of big corporate venues (where peope go and leave early)-would die to hear Cliches/WT Blonde Stranger/Thats what living is to me/T Wino AIK/ Nautical W/and Great Filling Stat

Hmmm...I like the basis. Maybe they can do like three songs at the beginning of the second set that is based on fan voting. And it would NOT be the usual must-plays.
1 song could be the overall leader
2 songs could be the the two most popular over the last week.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Hey, its not so easy for Mr Buffett to perform many of his older songs on short notice...
many haven't been performed since their recording years ago, or not for years...different band, would need new arrangements, rehearsals, etc
even if he does them acoustically, as he said at his long island acoustic concerts around 2000, he has to prepare by relearning many of the lyrics, as well as practicing the accompanyments
As he would say, its not as easy as it looks!!
