Jones Beach Camera Finds Its Home

Okay Folks I made contact and the camera is on it's way home. Heres the story. Well we arrived around one in the afternoon and set up camp. I had consumed my fair share of boat drinks ( I contribute the drinks to me buying three shirts because I could not make up my mind). Thanks to the help of the drill blender ( everyone should have one of these ). We had a great time at the pre party as always.
Here is where the story starts. About three quarters into the concert I thought I lost my wallet. I figured with the drinks and all the fun it was gone when I did not have it on me and my wife did not have it in her bag. My wife said it was in the car and she was right. Not trusting my wifes word one hundred percent I was still keeping a eye out for my wallet, but was not letting the wallet thing spoil the concert I had been waiting to see for a long time. I did not find my wallet in the theater, but I did find the camera in the row in front of me and the people that had been sitting there had left. I figured I would return the next day to check lost and found for my wallet and turn in the camera, by the way my wife was right and the wallet was in the car.
Here is where the hunt begins. Once I was in back in shape on Sunday I called Jones Beach and found out that there would be no one there until July 5. I figured the camera would just sit there and never get back to its owner so I scanned the pictures and started looking for clues. There are pictures of sail boats in the tropics, a small jet on the runway and various other pictures in the tropics along with pre party pictures from Jones Beach (boy it looks like these people live the life of Buffett and thats great a great way to live). I started with the limo that the folks who owned the camera had taken to the concert. I figured out the plate number had a friend run the plate and came up with the limo service. That was easy I called the limo company up and they wanted me to send them the camera. I asked them to call the folks up that had been in the limo and give them my phone number. I never heard no more. Now it was of to Buffet News. This is when I started to gain some ground SchoolGirlHeart was a big help and confident that the owner would be found. We started with the plane and found out who managed the plane. I contacted them and left my numbers again and again I got no place fast. Then the sail boat came into play. The sail numbers started the seach and the boat came up as light wave out of Rhode Island. But that name was no where to be found on the boat. I search google and came up with sail numbers matched to the name T-Squared. It turns out the Light Wave was the prior name of T-Squared before the present owner. I went back to the pics and enlarged the pictures and found more than one person wearing T-Squared clothing. I found a web site for the T-2 and came up with the owners name. I searched the links on the T-2s site and came up with the company that makes the sails for the boat. I contacted them and low and behold the guy who answered the phone confirmed that a camera was missing from the crew of the T-2- JACKPOT. I got the owners phone number and made contact I talked to his wife ( very nice lady). She said that the camera belonged to one of their crew, and set me up with a DHL pick up. The camera is on its way back home. I wrote the owner a note about the journey to get the camera back and gave credit to all at BUFFET NEWS. I invited them to view the forums. I hope they do view them and see all the good people on this site. Hopefully they will see this and possibly put BUFFETT NEWS in the links on their web site. I am glad to see the camera go back home and to see the owners can get all their memories back. I really appreciate all the help from all at BUFFETT NEWS. I might consider the Great woods concert if I can score some seats for a fair price as I might bring my son to this one as he would be great to ride shot gun with on the trip up from Long Island. I really appreciate the invite as it was a bummer packing all the pre party supplies away the day after. I plan on taking my son to the show at Madison Square Garden as it falls on his birthay so if I do not make it to great woods hopefully I can meet up with you guys at the Garden show. Once again Thanks for all the hope and I hope this story was not to long or boring. Thanks RDL
