...the sounds of birds chirping in the morning?

The weather has been PERFECT in the Chicago burbs lately... low 80's by day and cooler at night... so we've had the windows open, which is rare at my house. (The king normally runs the a/c non-stop all summer.)

I've been thoroughly enjoying waking up to the gentle cool breeze, the shining sun, and the cheerful, sweet songs of the busy early birds! (even though 5:30am is earlier than I'm accustomed! :) ) I think it's a great way to start the day! :D

The king is back to work from his vacation, so he's outta the house by 1:30am. :o But when he was on vacation last week, he was complaining about how annoying the birds were, and getting up and closing the window and the blinds to block the sun.

What do you think?

The birds around here wake up pretty damn early, like 4 AM sometimes.

But waking up to birds sure beats the alternative.

Some of the chirping birds at my house can be annoying as hell. But some are nice... So my answer is 'other' :D

Sounds like a great week to go see the Quaker parrots in Hyde or Lincoln Park. If ya make it there, take them some popcorn for me...

They like the cheap cheesey popcorn from the grocery...

Ever heard a hundred of them in the AM? I don't think you'd like that...

I hate waking up to the geese in the back yard. I love waking up to the Cockatiels singing in the morning. I hate waking up to the Cockatoo screaching in the morning. I love waking up to the songbirds and finches we have outside.

The weather here in Michigan has been similar. high 70's low 80's low humidity during the day and cool (high 50's) at night. We haven't had our air on in over a month.

I love hearing the birds in the morning. The 5:00 a.m. is a bit much, but I still love them

birds usually wake me too early. that and the traffic.

I wake to the radio, not a buzzer.
I'm just tryin' to get by being quiet and shy,
In a world full of pushin' and shove.

Yes, birds singing in the morning is a wonderful sound. Especially enjoy the love doves cooing their song of love. Also enjoy the sound of the fawns playing on the lawn.

It's too hot in Texas to leave the windows open in the summer, but if there is a breeze, I can hear the windchimes I have hanging in the trees outside.

I'd rather listen to the sounds of the Ocean....
