I just booked The Reach in Key West for August. It comes highly recomended from a good friend who stays there a couple of times a year. The rate I got is 159.00 per night, but there is a usage fee also of around 15 dollars. I hear that it is on the only natural beach in Key West. You can find it with a simple google search. Good luck RLA

the Reach was the alternate site of MOTM last year. A little cosy, but not too bad.

Best Western Hybiscus on Simonton. Clean and reasonable priced. Free WiFi if you desire. 2 minute walk from Duval, and about the same to the beach.

Depending on your budget, you might want to look at some of the guest houses, since the rates are down a little in the summer heat.

Last August I stayed at the Key West Harbor Inn, on Elizabeth St. It was *fantastic*!!

Try any of the Southernmost Hotels, the main complex is on Duval across from the Butterfly House (and within walking distance of the Southernmost Point).

You can use it's sister hotels' amenities which are more expensive. This includes pools, bars, as well as a beach. It's just to the right (south) of the Reach.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Are you trying to keep it very much on the cheap, or would you like to spend for a nicer place? We can recommend either way... :D

We love the Curry Mansion on Caroline, right next to Duval. Rates are reasonable, and they include a great poolside breakfast (omelettes, cereals, bagels, fresh juices, coffee, etc) AND a daily cocktail hour (pour your own beer, wine, drinks plus snacks) with live music. :D

The Reach is undergoing MAJOR renovations as we speak. The Casa Marina might have started a major renovation project by now or they are just about to.
Call the hotel directly and ask them a few blunt questions and you'll know what kind of shape the place is in.
