Galveston Island (Texas) residents were asked this question: If Galveston were a famous person, who would it be, and why?
Topping the list of responses was — Jimmy Buffett, the laid-back singer who has made a fortune selling CDs to his legion of baby boomer fans known as Parrotheads, singing oddball ditties about drinking, hamburgers and hanging around the beach.

Guess you can substitute "Port Aranasas" for "Galveston Bay"

galveston was made famous in "who's the blonde stranger" and it used to be a quaint island town. now it's really tourist trap. since i'm like 20 min from there, ill still go to the few unknown spots on the island...
port a - small beach town. you ride the ferry over the bay... everyone knows everyone.. great little dives to grab a cold beer after a day on the beach. i did some work down there for utmsi - stayed at the university beach house... met some great people.
and tr - my tan is the same all over
