my mother made me wear "Hee Haw" overalls to school all through the 2nd grade.... I am still not sure if that was worse than the purple pilgrim outfit (with matching hat and sachel) that she made me wear in third grade for picture day (1976/Bicentennial) - but my therapist is working on that with me.

I wish I would have kept those Hee Haw overalls- that had that damn donkey with the straw hat all over them with "hee Haw" scattered about as well.

I watched Hee Haw - but my mom should have done jail time for making me wear them - did anyone else have to suffer -bc I swear I have never seen another pair on any human being!!! :o

I did not have to suffer the indignity of Hee Haw overalls. I can see why you have still not completely recovered

Hee Haw/Buffett connection, I think, but I need help:
Remember The Hager Brothers? Remember they sang that song "Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone"?

Wasn't that performed by Bill Withers (the "hit" version on the radio)? And didn't Bill Withers have something to do with Buffett's current cd? I'm terrible with this stuff...I remember something about it, but I don't remember what is is that I remember....a mind is a terrible thing....

Overalls were COOL in the 70's 8) Especially if you had some Birkenstocks to go with them. Did your mom forget the BIrkenstocks?
