Put up a link... I'd search but it's hot and just lazy by nature...krusin1 wrote:NYCPORT wrote:I saw it too. I thought it looked too good to be true.
On a related note... anybody try those things from Sharper Image you wear around your neck? Personal cooling device, or some such?
Sounds too good to be true...
I haven't, but was thinking of getting one---I have serious problems with the heat, and actually do think this would help. I have seen them in their stores; just never bought one (maybe I worry it would make me look even really dorky!)krusin1 wrote:
Thanks for the assist - that's the thing I was talking about. Looks cool (literally) but then I'm sometimes a sucker for infomercials.![]()
Anyway.... anybody try one of these?

I have not tried the thing from Sharper Image, but I have tried a neck wrap thing. I forget the name of it. My sister and BIL turned me on to them. It is a tube of eomething wrapped in a bandana type material available in different colors and patterns.
You put it in the freezer and you don't want it to freeze ( I think it is the same gel stuff in the cool packs not sure). Wet it down and put it on the back of your neck. They work. If memory serves they were inecspensive....Under $10.00 I think.
Another thing I do is keep a couple or three bandanas in a cooler of ice, and will wet one and squeeze out most of the excess water then lay it across the back of my neck. When it dries out or warms up, I put it back in the cooler and get another one.

That being said, The Sharper Image has an INCREDIBLE return policy! So we returned it!
60 days .....No questions asked!
Buy one or order one and try it, if it doesn't work to your liking, take it back or send it back!
I have dealt with Richard and The Sharper Image, since the company started and they only had the catalogue and a store in San Francisco. A very good company, with nice Expensive "TOYS"!
